On the surface, one would think rune was just being a jerk when he asked about the houndras. But on a much deeper level, there was something far more terrifying. “At least let me get changed into something else before shoving me into the bathroom” Akira protested. “Well there is no time, we just have thirty minutes to get you prepared for dinner.” “Kai doesn't like to be kept waiting.” Akira smirked, enjoying the devious look it had on her reflection in the mirror, “is he an impatient man?” She asked. “Well yes…” rune answered speedily, “wait ... .wait wait…” he said as he gave a second thought to the question and the answer that he gave. “No,no, no, he is not that.” He corrected me. “What is he not? Impatient or a man?” She asked, enjoying the games she was playing. “The first.” Rune said. “So he is a man? Impatience is a common virtue amongst men, trust me, I would know about that.” She said as she struggled with her laughter. “Enough of this rubbish, just have your bath and get dressed already.” There was silence. “Akira, I know you can hear me, I need to hear the sound of running water in there!” Rune said as he knocked lightly in the door. “Why don't you come in yourself and turn it on?” She asked. His ears rang. Furious,he stomped around the room, the soft rug did all they could do to absorb the sound of his stomping but there was no match for his frustration. “Don't let her get to you…” Rune chanted with his eyes closed several times before he sat on the bed, “she would have a bad memory soon enough.” He opened his eyes and rolled them, “in six months? That's an awfully long time.” His boiling blood seemed to drop the moment he heard the sound of running water. Finally she had decided to have her bath. Akira on the other hand could have sworn she saw something in the mirror. A woman. She shrugged the creepy feeling off with the idea that she was living with men who could transform into wolves, men who obviously believed that the unicorn was a real thing and that it existed. The bath was quick, the hot water was all she needed for her aching back. “I will be coming out.” She yelled, “you do not have to watch me dress now do you?” Without uttering a word, Rune stepped out of the room and closed the door loudly behind him. The door opened to reveal Akira's beautiful ocean gown that highlighted her curves. The gown went so well with her skin tone and smile. Her hair! Hee hair was styled neatly with a few strands sticking out freely at the front and back. Rune wondered how she was able to acheive that much perfection under a short amount of time. “What?” She snapped, “are you going to stand there and gawk at me like some hungry seagull at the sight of bread?” “Really?” Rune asked, his admiration slowly turning into annoyance, “did you have to ruin this moment with your words?” He asked . “Not while I live.” She said, “Well, let's see in six months…” Rune muttered. Akira's heart skipped a beat but she didn't let it show. “I don't intend on staying here till sunrise.” She thought as time led her to the dining table. ………… “Why do I need to eat with her?” Kia roared “What do you mean why? That lady out there is your mate.” Orion said. “She's no different than a prisoner, I will reject her once she fulfills her purpose here.” Kia replied, turning his back at Orion. Orion could have gotten mad but he didn't. With a soft smile at the corners of his lips, he placed his hands on Kai's shoulders, “I totally understand how you feel, especially how you're at the risk of losing your authority In this pack but it's not going to get any better if you keep treating her like this.” “If you want her to be out of your hair as soon as possible, I suggest you take my advice on this matter.” A human was not in Kai's agenda. He had hoped to live over a thousand civilisations and it never crossed his mind that he was going to get fated to a human. Not only was he not able to reject her and keep her a slave, he was going to eat dinner with her. Orion was like a father to him, he was the only reason he was doing this. He had rather die fighting the honduras than live to lose his pack all because he was dated to a human. He took a deep breath, Orion's council were always the best, he had followed them long enough to know. He believed that everyone made mistakes and he wished that this time was not the first time Orion would ever make a mistake. “Sure thing, I will have dinner since it means so much to you that i do” said Kai defeated. Kai adjusted his tie and made his way to leave when Orion's string hands held on to his shoulder tightly. “You can let me—” In a flash Orion had him flying through the air and crashing on the floor. “What was that for?” Kai asked, apparently you could tell from the way he reacted that he was used to this kind of treatment. “Next time, when you speak to me, do not go about with that grumpy tone of yours, you know how much I hate it.” Kai rubbed on his neck as he lay there on the soft rug when a knock came on the door. “Lord Kai, dinner is served and your guest is already at the table.” “Fine.” Kai muttered as he got up the floor, “I am sure you are happy now?” He asked Orion as he adjusted his shirt and dusted his collars. “Not happy,” Orion replied with a smile, “just expectant. Now let's hurry, you do not want your meal to get cold while you sulk in here and most importantly….” “Don't say it!” Kai thought, his eyebrows raised. “...you do not want to keep your mate waiting!”
