CLARABELLE POVI sat in my office, and there was a knock at my door. It was my brother. It's Saturday morning, and most of the people in the office are only here to catch up on some work they fell behind on. Saturdays and Sundays are our days off, but I have some work I have to finish before the big project starts Monday morning. He entered and sat at my couch and coffee table. "How are you, baby Sus?" He asks, and I stop typing when I hear him say, "Baby Sus," he always calls me "baby." My nickname is Clara. What's up? "I'm good, and you?" I say and stand up and sit at the opposite couch from him. "Nothing much, I just wanted to check if you're okay." "After last night I heard firsthand from Hawk how he screwed up," he says, and I look at him and see he is telling the truth. "I'm fine still; I can handle myself, you know," I say, and he smiles proudly. "I know, but there was a time you didn't, and I don't want you to get hurt again," he says, and I sigh because I know what he is talking about. "I'm not a teen anymore; I'm an adult now. I can handle it now. My therapy sessions are long in the past." He grumbled at the thought of me back in therapy. He knows how bad I was and the confidence I got once I got in university. He kept hawks away from me; I don't know how, but he did, and I graduated without any problems, top in my class and valedictorian, if I may say so myself. When I interned, I went to Dad and did it at our own company. My brother, sister, and I took the component over the moment I graduated. Dad and Mom were so proud of us; we each took a different course except me and Knox—we both took two design classes, and all three of us took business as well. Willow took finance classes as well, since she is the president of finance in the family business. I looked him over. "Is everything okay with Mia? Why was she not drinking yesterday?" I ask him, and something glints over his eyes. "She has not been feeling well; the stress is getting to her," he says, and I leave it at that. .
