Mia notified me she is here early because she wants to set up and rest before the rest show up. I went down with my trolley to help her unload. It looks like one of those bellboy trolleys with railings for the dresses. We take the lift up to my flat, and we set my flat up so cute, like a cute spa. I went and got face masks and foot spas and robes for everyone. Mia and I made mini snacks. The buzzer went off to notify us the pizza is here, and I went down to get the pizza. And went up to the 10th floor to my flat. When I entered my flat, Mia was lying on the couch. I put the pizza on the counter and walked to Mia and lay next to her. It's a big couch; she helped me pick it out since we have lots of movie nights at my flat with my brother and my sister as well, so it had to be big. "Hi, are you good?" I ask. "Yes, it's just a big stressful day at work, and the wedding stuff has to be done. I'm just a bit overwhelmed," she says, and I give her a hug. "I'm here if you want to delegate some of the wedding stuff to me and Willow. You know we can just take off work since the groom is our boss," I say, laughing. She smiles at me and then boops me on my nose. "I know I have the best sisters-in-law ever, especially you," she says. I laugh at her. "Because I was your best friend first," I say. She laughs. "By the way, what was up with you at the meeting Monday morning? You were out of it. I never saw you like that," she says. I was contemplating lying to her, but she would see right through me, so I tell her the truth. "Because that was the first time I saw Hawk since I was 15. I always made sure I would never see him ever at social events... but to be honest, I wouldn't have recognized him at all," I say, studying her face. "I forgot about the name-calling and the way he was bullying you and me. I forgot about it because it never was so bad with me, but I must say he was professional with you Monday," she says, and I snort. "You didn't see him before the meeting. He was hitting on me because he did not recognize me, but still he insulted me even though he didn't know who I was, like I was a piece of meat, and then he asked my brother where the ugly duckling, me, was, and trust me, I gave him my best comeback. When Willow told us how we were talking, we both felt silent, so yeah, he had not changed much," I say. Mia gasps and is in shock. "Are you serious? That was the strangest thing ever. He never talks to anyone like that. He always keeps his professional face on. The only time he does not have it on is when he is at the club or when he is at a party," she says.
