After yesterday’s attack on me, there was no guard outside the bedroom. It was like Blake didn’t trust anyone. Instead, there were five burly wolves from his hunting crew. Two were stationed at the door, while the other three took turns patrolling the area.
After Hailey informed me he had gone to see Cathy because she had hurt herself, a pang of jealousy coursed through me. But why had Cathy hurt herself? What had gone wrong so fast?
