Rosalie
When Saint walked into our next class she was black and blue. She was sunatering, but I could tell she was hurt. I got up fast and ran to her as she almost fell. Now that I was close I saw a long scar down her eye and another down her lips.
face paled and I put her in her seat. May and Sinclair ran over and May had grabbed Saints chin and moved her head softly to examine her marks and small wounds.
“ Who the hell did this to you!?” Sin snarled and fisted her hands.
As if on cue Lucian walked in, followed close by with his boy squad behind him. Sin had walked over and slammed her foot hard into his chest and my hands flew to my mouth as I gasped in shock by her action.
I watched as he stumbled back and ended up getting checked on by the one with warm brown eyes. But Saint seemed more interested in the one who had caught lucian. Atlas i believe his name was and it startled me at first. Does...Saint have a crush? She never had one before, at least I didn't remember if she did.
Besides, if she did, I think she would have told me at least. The bruises she had looked like the ones I have except more precise and more painful. Nobody knew about my bruises or why I was so skinny.
Lucius had looked so pleased about her pain when he had first walked in, and in an instant I knew who had hurt her and had made her go through such pain.
There's no way he did that...Right? I went over and got in front of May, Tears rolling down my cheeks and I tried to keep them from falling but I couldn't. He let out a low growl as he first started to get up but I waited till he looked up.
When he saw me and my tears he looked so heartbroken. Does...he care for me? There's no way, what kind of man who cared for a woman could hurt that woman's friend? But it was when I spoke did he look completely broken.
“Lucius, how could you?”
“ Rosa, why are you crying? Did something happen? Are you hurt?”
“ You happened! You hurt Saint! You put her through so much pain!”
“ Rosa all i did was teach her manners”
“ Manners?! You call beating a woman till she's bleeding and has bruises on her face and neck teaching her manners!”
He looked angry and ashamed. He should be ashamed, but not angry. “ All I did was teach the god damn dog respect!” He hissed and then turned and slammed the door in my face. I felt my heart shatter. Only God knew why I felt that way. I was angry and upset but all I could do was cry.
The old saying ‘when one door closes another one opens,’ is true. Literally, true because after he slammed the door in my face the abandoned classroom across the hall opened. A girl my age looked out and saw my tears, she opened the door wider and I saw more of her.
She was skinny and looked underfed. She motioned for me to come in, I don't usually cut class but this girl looked lonely. I left the classroom and I closed the door. The teacher seemed startled as I left but he just watched.
I walked in and to my surprise the girl was gone…
“ Hello? Anyone in here?” I called out as i closed the door behind me. Then I heard a low sound. I didn’t mind much as i had thought it was just my head. I was in an abandoned classroom afterall.
I kept walking around hoping to find windows nearby so I could open them or at least a light switch. I traced my fingers along the wall hoping to find the light switch in the dark room. But I also kept feeling for the familiar pattern of the window blades that covered them.
Then I heard it again but louder this time, as if it turned fast and I let out a scream as I fell and glasses smashed on the floor. I let out a sharp cry as something had raked my back and I moved fast to push myself up.
But, my body stiffened as my fingers traced over something, It was cold and felt oddly familiar. I let my eyes adjust and I let out another scream but this one was filled with fear and despair.
The girl I saw...she was dead!
