Juliet
"Please," I pleaded, my voice cracking as I struggled to speak through my sobs, "I'm begging you," the words escaped out in a tear-choked whisper.
I gathered all the strength left in me and used my knee to deliver a decisive blow, forcing him to release his grip.
He rolled off me, "You are acting all innocent now. At the end of the day you're all the same." He sneered.
I rose to my feet, picked the cheque and turned to face him.
"Spoilt brats like you think you are so mighty." I sniffed.
"You are a very disgusting human being." My words barely audible through my tears.
I burst out of the house, my eyes scanning the surrounding, uncertainty gripping me as i struggled to decide which direction to take.
I trudged along for what felt like an eternity, my legs grew heavier with each step.
Just as I was about to lose hope, a cab miraculously appeared in front of me.
The last 24 hours had been the most bizarre hours of my life.
I arrived at my father's house and stepped inside.
Victoria glanced at me as I walked in, her stern face - probably had a lot planned for me as punishment. But before she could utter a word, I handed her the cheque.
Her eyes grew wide in wonder as she took in the figures on the cheque.
"€200,000! How on earth did you manage to get your hand on this kind of money?" Her voice burst out in disbelief.
"That shouldn't be any of your concern, just make sure it is delivered to the old man. I am not going to be his wife, and if you're desperate for a bargaining chip, you can consider using your own daughter instead." I asserted, pointing towards Eva.
Victoria jumped to her feet. "What about your drunk father! Who will look after him?"
"He's your husband you know, try taking some responsibility." I shot back.
"Have you forgotten who caused his financial demise?" She snorted.
"No, stop trying to manipulate me! I refuse to be guilt-tripped into taking care of this family's expenses anymore. I am not your slave! I have had enough of everyone treating like a piece of shit."
Eva who had been sitting on the couch, saw her mother being scolded and rose to her feet, as if compelled to intervene.
"How dare you talk to my mother that way! You have no right to speak to her like that!" Eva exclaimed, her voice echoing through the room as she charged towards me.
Eva hand flew up, intent on delivering a stinging slap.
Then something snapped in me, I swiftly grasped her wrist, halting her motion and holding her arm in place.
"Not today, Eva, I have been through enough hell in the last 24hours. Don't push me to the edge, or i'll unleash my anger on you."
"I am getting out of this house and I will live my life which ever way I please!" I declared, slamming the door behind me as I stormed out of the house.
As I strolled down the street, I pulled out my phone and dialed my best friend's number.
"Hi Emily. I have nowhere else to go, can I come and stay with you?"
"Of course, Julie." Emily answered from the other end of the phone.
When I got to her house, I told her about everything that had happened. Except the part where I woke up in a stranger's room, and was almost r***d.
"Oh my God, Julie, I knew James was too good to be true, I never liked him."
Emily never liked James even when he was my boyfriend. She had always advised me to leave him.
"Emily, i can't believe he cheated on me with my half sister!" I exclaimed.
"Eva is a snake. I always suspected she was up to no good. I told you their closeness was odd but you didn't take my warnings serious."
"I'm done with all of them. Including my father."
"Are you serious?" Emily asked.
"I don't care anymore." I blurted out.
For years he's shown me no affection. He neglected me, all he does is gamble and come home drunk.
"It's almost night and I have to go to work."

Henry
"I like her, Henry. She's a good match for you, you two would make a wonderful couple."
My Dad was in my office.
"When are you getting married, Henry?"
"Soon, Dad." I answered firmly.
That was a lie, I had no intention of getting married.
I would never have my life tied down by anyone, or fall in love with anyone ever again. Women are evil, first they make you fall in love and then, they leave.
Seeing juliet lie on my bed the last time, reminded me a lot about Natalie, the woman who broke my heart. I couldn't help it, I wanted to punish Juliet so badly for bringing back memories of Natalie.
"I'll be heading home now, Dad. See you tomorrow." I said as i stood up to leave my office.
"Alright, just make sure to bring her along to the event tomorrow."
I nodded in agreement.
I got to the parking lot, walked towards my car, and slid into the driver's sit and drove off.
I had not stopped thinking about Juliet ever since.
I only wanted to introduce a fake fiance to my father so he would be convinced i had stopped sleeping around.
But, my father seemed to think that Juliet would be his daughter in law.
"Urgh!" I groaned out in frustration.
I decided to drive to a bar, instead of going home. I'd look for someone to unleash my frustration on sexually.
I gripped the steering wheel tightly still frustrated.
Suddenly, as i made a turn, a car from nowhere swerved into my lane, its tire screeching in protest. My heart raced as the car streaked towards me.
My car jolted violently to the side, my head whipped back and forth as i tried to maintain control of my car.
My car slammed into the traffic pole with a loud bang, and everything went dark.
