" suddenly, I awoke from a deep slumber I had not known, a slumber that had no beginning but ended when I awoke," John thought to himself as his eyes slowly opened.
Surveying his surroundings as if trying to remember how he got to where he was. John found himself waking up in an old alleyway so dirty and long forgotten in a sense that no one walked through it in ages. He was laying down on the ground naked and wet covered in a bodily fluid that reassembles the Amniotic fluids of birth. As he was examining his surroundings, he started to examine his body. He notified his brain that he was covered in a certain liquid, and he was feeling cold, that realising he was naked and extremely famished to a point his vision was a blur.
He tried standing up and stumbled for a bit until he could gain complete balance with the help of a nearby wall. As John started walking towards what he noticed was light at the end of the alleyway. He could smell the stinky smell the alley produced from the rubbish nearby, but he could not resist the hunger caused by the sight of a mango laying on the ground. His instincts told him to eat the mango because it would help soothe the pain in his abdomen. Eventually, he picked the mango up and ate it after two minutes of debating and second-guessing. As he ate, the more he could get a grip of his senses and have a more vivid picture of his surroundings and physical condition, which he understood now that he was feeling very cold and it was very dark and knew now that he needed to go towards that light.
As he arrived at the end of the alleyway, he found the light he had seen was an orange light that he did not understand it was a fire that was producing a certain cure for the coldness he was feeling.
He later asked himself what or who was he, he did not understand what he was feeling.
As he felt the warmth, he heard a loud strange noise from a distance and decided to follow it in its direction. But before he could go any further he asked himself, who am I?
