The voice, when it comes, was a low rumble, deep and distant like a looming thunderstorm.
Alastor opened his eyes and realized that he was dreaming, and it was that same dream again.
The light from the morning sky had spilled into his room, it was dull and grey, another day had passed and he had not yet finished his work here.
