The bright yellow light from the open doorway blinded my eyes for a second. I stood frozen against the wall, my throat tight with fear. My lips were still wet and sore from Luis's kiss, and Lucas was standing right beside me with his fists pulled back, ready to fight.
My brother Nathan stepped out into the bright light at the end of the hall. He looked angry, his sharp dark eyes scanning the floor as he walked forward. If he walked three more steps, he would see me pinned against the wall between his two best friends. My heart hammered wildly against my ribs. I closed my eyes, waiting for the loud scream that would ruin my life.
But before Nathan could look down our dark corridor, another tall man stepped quickly out of the shadows. He moved smoothly, putting his wide shoulders directly in front of Nathan to block his view of us.
It was Sandro Gillon. He was tall, quiet, and very handsome. He had neat dark hair and piercing gray eyes that always made me feel nervous.
"Nathan," Sandro said in a low, calm voice. "The business investors are waiting for you in the private study upstairs. You need to go right now."
Nathan stopped moving. He grunted in annoyance, looking at Sandro for a short moment. "Fine," Nathan grumbled. "Tell them I am coming up."
Nathan turned around on his heel and walked away. The heavy double doors slammed shut behind him, plunging the hallway back into dim darkness.
I let out a long breath, slumping against the cold wall. My body was shaking from the close call. Lucas lowered his fists, and Luis let out a soft laugh as he straightened his black tie.
Sandro turned around slowly. His deep gray eyes completely ignored Lucas and Luis. Instead, his dark gaze locked straight onto my face. He walked toward me with slow, steady steps. There was something very quiet and dangerous about the way he moved.
"You need to be very careful, Isabelle," Sandro said softly as he stopped right in front of me.
"Sandro... thank you for stopping him," I whispered, holding my hands together so he would not see them shaking.
"I did not do it to protect your secret, little girl," Sandro replied, his voice smooth like velvet. "I did it because I do not like sharing what belongs to me."
My eyes opened wide. "What do you mean?"
Sandro reached out his long hand, his warm fingers gently touching a strand of my wavy hair. He tucked it behind my ear, his skin brushing against my hot cheek. His touch was soft, but the heat of his body made my skin tingle.
"I saw you in the library with Lucas two hours ago," Sandro said quietly, his gray eyes flashing in the dark. "I watched him press you against the books and kiss you. And I just saw Luis threatening you here in the hall. They think they are the only ones who desire you."
"Sandro, please..." I stammers, my cheeks burning with deep embarrassment. "It is not what you think. They forced me."
"Did they?" Sandro asked, stepping even closer until his hard chest brushed against my chest. He looked down at my swollen lips with heavy desire. "You did not push them away, Isabelle. Your body gave in to both of us."
"I was scared!" I argued, but my voice sounded weak even to my own ears.
"And now I want you, too," Sandro whispered, dropping his hand from my hair down to the front of my neck.
His fingers pressed gently against my collarbone, making a soft gasp leave my mouth. Sandro took advantage of my open lips, leaning down fast to capture my mouth in a deep, powerful kiss.
Where Lucas was wild and Luis was sneaky, Sandro was possessive and dominant. He wrapped one large, warm hand around the back of my waist and pulled me tight against his hard hips. His other hand held my jaw firm, forcing my head back so he could taste every part of my mouth. His tongue slid inside, taking full control.
I let out a helpless moan into his mouth. My mind was completely overwhelmed. I had just been kissed by three different men in the same dark hallway within twenty minutes. My skin felt like it was on fire. I wanted to stop him, but the feeling of Sandro's thick arms holding me close made my legs go completely soft. My hands reached up on their own, clutching the front of his soft gray shirt to keep myself from falling down.
Sandro groaned softly against my lips, deepening the kiss until I could barely breathe. He bit my bottom lip gently, sucking on it before moving his mouth down to the sensitive skin right under my ear. His hot breath sent electric shivers all the way down to my feet.
"You are so hot and responsive," Sandro murmured into my neck, pressing his hips hard against mine so I could feel how much he wanted me. "You taste like sweet sin, Isabelle."
"Sandro... stop it," Lucas growled from behind him, grabbing Sandro's shoulder with a heavy grip. "Leave her alone."
Sandro pulled his face back slowly, his heavy gray eyes still staring into mine. He did not look scared of Lucas at all. He just stepped back slightly, keeping one hand wrapped firmly around my hip.
I backed up against the cold wall, my breath coming in short, heavy gasps. My chest was rising and falling fast. I looked between all three men standing around me in the dark hall.
Lucas was bold and aggressive, watching me with piercing blue eyes filled with wild passion. Luis was sneaky and manipulative, leaning against the doorframe with a wicked smile on his face. Sandro was quiet and deeply obsessive, his dark gray eyes watching my every breath like a hunter.
All three of my brother's best friends were standing over me, trapping me completely. They were looking at me like I was a piece of precious gold they all wanted to claim.
"This is crazy," I whispered, my voice trembling as I looked at them. "You are my brother's best friends. You cannot do this to me. I have to choose one of you or tell Nathan to make you all leave."
Sandro stepped closer again, his long thumb sliding up to brush softly across my cheekbone. His gray eyes burned into mine with a dark, terrifying promise.
"You do not get to choose just one of us, Isabelle," Sandro whispered softly into the dark air. "Because none of us will ever let you go."
