Chapter 3

Next morning Mona's mom asked her to drop Damian on the airport and warned her to not flirt with Damian.At the airport Mona gave Damian her contact information and said " Mr. Damian please contact me if you need any help".

Damian nodded and then Mona again asked "Mr. Damian, when is your birthday". Damian asked "Why are you curious about my birthday?".

Mona replied "Aren't we friends and friends should know their each other's birth date."

Damian stated "It's on 8th February"..

Mona teased him "So as your friend am I invited Mr. Damian".

Damian get irritated by her and said "I am getting late, so bye Miss Mona".

Mona said bye and knew that she shouldn't have asked this because they are not that close. While going back towards her office she remembered that on Damian's birthday, Raymond didn't wish him and marked Jackson permanently. If she is not wrong then the male leads had meet eachother by now.

Mona went to L country for 6 G network development programme. Her nation has given this opportunity to her company. She knew she can't avoid this contract because she will be representing her country. This program was for 3 months and she didn't get the chance to attend Damian's birthday even after being invited by Damian's mom. When Damian's mom contacted to invite her. Mona said "Aunt I can't attend the birthday because I am not in the country right now but when I will be back, I will definitely come to greet you".

Damian's mom replied "Okay than it's a deal my daughter ".

Three months passed and they were successful in developing the 6 G network. Mona came back to her home. She ran towards her parents and hug them. She is very childish even at this age.She bought gifts for her parents from L country. She presented them the gifts and after a long family conversation she went to sleep.

After few days Mona decided to visit Damian. She went to Damian's home and greeted Damian's mom. Damian and Damian's dad were not at home. Mona gifted famous tea from L country to Damian's mom. After a long conversation Damian's mom informed her that next week is Damian's engagement and invited her while saying that she had already sent the invitation card to her home. Although Raymond and Damian were engaged since childhood but their engagement wasn't made public. Only few close families knew this.

Mona was happy and agreed to the invitation because in the novel Damian was waiting for Raymond on their engagement venue while wearing black suit but Raymond brought Jackson with him and got engaged to him. This matter became sensation on the national news and media level. It was the time when Raymond caused Damian's family to become a laughing stock in the whole nation and then Damian fully gave up on him.

Mona waited for Damian to give him his birthday present which she bought on his birthday in country L.

After dinner Mona asked Damian for a walk. They went to Damian's garden. Mona was hurt by seeing his condition, he has lost weight, his eyes shows that he doesn't want to live. Damian's face was pale. Damian wasn't saying anything. Mona break the silence by asking how was his day. Damian stopped walking and stood still without replying. Damian is not close to anyone because he doesn't know how to express but Mona knew Raymond's betrayal was killing him day by day.

Mona hugged him and said you can cry as much as you want. Damian didn't push her. He cried in her shoulder for half an hour and said thank you after breaking the hug. Mona swore in her heart that now she will not let him get hurt anymore. She get on her knees and proposed him with the ring which she bought as his birthday present. She said " I love you, Damian and I know that you don't love me. I am not asking you to love me just let me be stay by your side so that I can protect you. I can't see tears in your eyes."

Mona didn't realise when she started to cry. She held his hand put the ring on his finger and then stood up. She kissed him and wished him a be lated birthday. After saying that she went away because she doesn't have the courage to face his anger.

Damian was in daze, she wasn't her first love. But why his subconscious mind always think of her. Ever since he collided with her in the restaurant he has been dreaming of her. In the dream he loves her a lot. This feeling he never felt for anyone, even neither for Raymond who is his first love. In the dream someone killed him with the knife and his lover who has the same face as Mona cried and screamed and then the same person killed her as well.

He doesn't even need to fall for her because he felt that he had loved her since thousand of years. But he never wanted to betray Raymond that's why he never approached Mona. When Raymond marked Jackson he didn't feel hurt instead he felt relieved. He missed Mona on his birthday but she was out of country. He was sulking because she didn't even call to wish him.

He was shocked when he saw her today at his home. He was on the verge of crying, he wanted to ask why she didn't even call him on his birthday. Does she not know that I am his lover from past life. His engagement with Raymond is within a week but he didn't want this engagement. All he wanted now is only her.

When she hugged him and asked her to cry he didn't stop himself and cried a lot. He isn't good at expressing himself. She proposed him, kissed him, wished for his birthday which has passed. He was shy but before he could respond to her she went away. But Damian mood was good now because she loves him. His stress from months was now relieved. He went to his room but sleep was far away from his eyes. He went towards Mona's room and knocked the door Mona opened it but after seeing him outside she hung her neck downward and started looking down on the floor. Damian was laughing at her behaviour. Although he didn't have the courage but he can't let her go now. So he asked whether he can enter the room? Mona nodded while facing the floor and went towards the window. Damian closed the door and Mona said "Damian if you are here to reject me then please go away because I haven't asked for your love in return. Please don't hurt me. I am begging you".

Mona wasn't even facing him, she was looking outside the window.

Damian went towards her and hugged her.

Mona was taken aback by his move. She didn't said a word. Because she waited for him to speak. Although a lot of questions were popping inside her head but she stayed silent.

After 10 minutes Damian didn't utter a single word and then Mona decided to speak.

Her heart was beating like a drum but she asked " Damian I want you to speak. I know you are not good at expressing yourself. But you hugging me is indicating that you feel something for me as well."

Damian said " You are not misreading my actions then "
