3 years later.
3rd person point of view
“* I can remember when we walked together
Sharing a love I thought would last forever*” the song was a slow tempo. “*Moonlight to show the way so we can follow
Waiting inside her eyes was my tomorrow
Then something changed her mind, her kisses told me
I had no loving arms to hold me me me me me*”
The record started to skip. It was dark a room, only illuminated by a single light above a grizzled middle aged man tied to a chair.
The man tied to the chair finally woke up. He began screaming through the gag in his mouth.
It finally slipped from between his lips.
“Help me!” He screamed pitifully.
“Please someone help!”
He stared around, and noticed the dead bodies, tied to a chair just like him, surrounding him in a circle. Even though It was too dark to actually see them, A giant hole in their chest suggested that their hearts were ripped out.
He started crying uncontrollably, his fear scent coming off in waves.
“Filthy humans.” A beautiful voice spoke out from the shadows. It could send a chill down your spine.
“Please, just let me go, I won’t say anything please! They made me do this, they made me hunt you all down!”
The girl fiddled with the record player.
“Such a shame, the song was getting to the good part. Let me fix that.” She flipped it back over. Hitting play. She came into the light, her face partly covered by a black lace shawl. A black corset wrapped tightly around her abdomen. Lace black gloves going nearly up to her shoulders. Black leggings, a half skirt that nearly looked like a cape in all black. Her silvery long hair tied losely into a braid.
“You know, you’re wasting time fixing that, and I absolutely despise that song.” A males voice came from behind the man.
“You know I have my way of doing things. This gets me in the mood. Because if I don’t slow down, I can’t enjoy it.”
The record started playing again.
“* Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love.*”
The girl began to twirl around in a circle in front of the man, brandishing a black blade in between her mouth.
“For as much as you hate this song, you still play it anyway.” The man chuckled.
The music kept playing as the man wept.
“* I cannot face this world that's fallen down on me
So if you see my girl, please send her home to me
Tell her about my heart that's slowly dying
Say I can't stop myself from crying!*”
The girl got closer to the man in the chair. She took the blade out of her mouth. She got eye level with him and he gasped out in horror. Her face was scarred. Horrifyingly scarred. Black scars covered her right cheek. Her one black eye just the same.
“You don’t think I’m pretty?” She batted her long eye lashes, pouting.
The man kept crying, closing his eyes to not look at her.
“You ruined my song.” It almost seemed like tears were about to stream out of her eyes.
“*Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man- wiiiithooout loooveee.*”
The song had ended.
“Please I’ll tell you everything you need to know, I swear I’ll tell you everything you need to know. Just please let me go.” He sobbed, his face wet with tears, he writhed in his chair.
The girl grabbed his face in between both her hands.
“We know everything we need to know Brian Anthony Walters, married to an amazing Bethany Marie Walters, with 2 beautiful children a girl named Lauren and sweet little boy Seth. Working 2 jobs. A double life you could say. A sweet man that runs a thriving landscaping company. And evil bastard that works with and funds Dagger.” Her eyes twinkled.
“P-please, d-don’t hurt them, PLEASE.”
“We don’t need to touch them, they’re sweet angels. They didn’t commit these crimes. And actually, your wife wouldn’t approve of your extra curricular activities. Turns out she cares very deeply for the supernatural community. She should be opening the letter right about now, with all the proof she needs to want to get a divorce.”
“What, are you going to rip my heart out, just like them?”
The girl backs up. She puts the point of the dagger on her finger.
“You offend me, Brian. I don’t do such gruesome things.”
She looks down at the dagger, and laughs. She holds it one hand, and pointing at it.
“Dagger, get it?” It’s funny right?” She laughed some more.
“See, I don’t do the ripping out of hearts. That’s not my job.”
She turned away from him, and walked away, flipping on more lights.
To Brian’s horror, he realized he knew these people that surrounded him in the chairs. The blood on their clothing still looked fresh. But their bodies, looked horribly disfigured. Some with gouged out eyes, their eyes still hanging from the sockets.
“My work, is a bit more,” she paused, tapping the dagger on her cheek.
“Intricate.”
She then appeared in front of him once more. Eye to eye with him. Like she appeared in thin air, a cloud of purple smoke surrounded them.
“Dagger is done, as will be the rest of you scum that are trying to kill us. Just like Hunters of Freedom and the littler hunter groups. God how I loved their screams.” His eyes widened.
“Declan dear, can you play the next track. This is one you actually do like.”
The man put on another record.
“*Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom
Well, who am I to keep you down?
It's only right that you should play the way you feel it
But listen carefully to the sound of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had
And what you lost
And what you had
And what you lost*”
She began to sway to the music, and finally brought the dagger down fast on the man’s arms, causing large slashes to appear. Blood started flowing immediately. The man began to scream.
“See, this is a good song, such a,” she stabbed the man through the cheek, causing him to scream out in agony, his mouth then filled with blood, causing him to choke.
“Feel good one. My my how I love the sound of your screams. It brings me justice.” She sighs dreamily. She runs her blade across his stomach, deep. He was writhing in the chair, trying desperately to escape. He screamed louder, choking every once in a while on his own blood. She stabbed him a couple times in the legs.
“This is one of my favorite songs.” The man says, slowly enunciating each word.
The song continued playing, as the man’s screams grew weaker.
“*Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself
It's only me who wants to wrap around your dreams
And have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
Dreams of loneliness*”
She carved out his eyes. He couldn’t scream anymore, he lost so much blood.
“Stevie nicks is such a beautiful soul, such beautiful music. The white witch.” Declan sighed dreamily.
“Now Darian, Danica, you’re wasting my food. Look at all this blood.”
“I’m sorry.” She backed away.
Brian was nearly dead.
“Brian, your time is up. Let me send you to the afterlife.” Declan whispered.
He dug his fingers into his chest, ripping his heart out fast.
“And let me damn his soul to hell.” A red orb came out of his chest, and into her hand. It absorbed itself into her.
He took a bite. “Ahh, I love fresh heart. Nothing like it.”
“You’re so gross. But when you gotta eat, you gotta eat.” She giggled.
“I have to say, that little act never gets old. You could scare the s**t out of me if I wasn’t on your side.”
“What can I say, having the chance to kill the animals that slaughter our kind for fun just, gives me such a rush.”
“Now come on, we need to deliver these bodies back to their head quarters, where their underlings will see, and take the message.”
