Think before you do.

He brought his hand down to indicate we can begin. We starred each other down a few seconds and he made the first move, coming to my right. I chuckled. Just because I closed my right eye doesn’t mean I’m handicapped. I tumbled out of his way, catching his ankle in a side sweep with my own foot. He fell right on his back, letting out a huff. He got up right away, shaking the sand off himself. “Cheap shot right away?” I laughed. I got into a neutral stance., remembering some fighting moves that Declan taught me. ‘Listen sweet Darian, you can’t let them know you’re next move, you do, they’ll plan how they want to counter it. Let them come to you. Find out their weakness.’ Declan’s voice echoed in my head. Alec got back to his feet, irritated. “Thought i might as well give it a shot.” We circled each other again, slowly, we were closer this time, a mere two feet apart. He threw a punch to my gut, that I blocked with my right arm, hitting him square in the chest with my left fist, causing him to stumble. He threw a right hook, but he brought up his left fist as well, I dodged both blows, and pummeled him in the stomach, causing him to stumble once again. I backed away from him. Getting into a crouch. My mistake. Instead using his fist, his right foot connected with my ribs, knocking me a couple feet back. That hurt, a little. He got on top of me, punching a me a few times in the face. I kicked him off of me, getting irritated. I felt blood trickle down my nose. ‘You’re small and muscular, which is an Advantage, it means you’ll be faster either way with an opponent.’ Declan’s words echoed in my ears once again. I could tell he felt bad for making me bleed, and I took that to my advantage. I leaped up, and kicked him right in the chest. Causing him to stumble. Taking my chance while he was still stumbling, I jumped onto his back, wrapping my arm around his neck. He struggled to get out of my grasp, but I was holding on for dear life. He threw us onto to the ground, him landing on top of me. But that wasn’t going to stop me. He punched me twice in the face. He still struggled and we rolled around and around on the ground, getting sand in my face. He rolled once more, that I was finally on top him. Using my left foot, I pushed down on his knee, and pulled up with my arms, causing him to choke even more. His arms flailed but I held on. Soon he became weaker and weaker and he passed out. I dropped him, putting my hands up. “The winner, is Darian.” Declan proclaimed. I felt bad for making my mate pass out, but I wasn’t going to let him win. I felt tingly all over though. I wanted to touch him so more. The fight was exhilarating, and actually mind of fun. He started coughing and sputtering. He stood up, shaking the sand off his clothes. “Well, I guess you win.” He coughed a bit more. “Only took 3 minutes too!” One of his men called out. I realized it was Justinas mate. What was his name again? Grizz? “She really kicked your ass.” The other one said. “Shut up Lake.” He hissed “You did beat me. So you can run your Investigation how you’d like. I won’t stop you. But I will ask you just one thing, to keep Fritz at bay.” He paused. “I would like for you and your friends to stay on my land. You can have one of the unoccupied houses, or you can move inside the pack house itself.” See that, I wasn’t opposed to. I wanted to keep an eye on things within his pack. But I was also sweet he was going to give us a choice of where we stayed. All Leta could think about was sharing a room with him. But I don’t want to jump his bones right away. ‘You need to cool it, seriously Leta.’ ‘Sorry, I can’t help myself.’ She purred. “Alright, let me call Claire, so they can bring Bri, Mason, and Marie here. Claire and Maria are my two witches. Bri and Mason are two-“ “What’s their last name? You were about to say wolves right?” Alec interrupted me. “I don’t know their last name.” I said honestly. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed Claire’s number. It rang a few times and no answer. I felt myself go numb. Something isn’t right. Claire always has her phone on her. I poofed away from everyone.
