14. The Road To Red PondIt was a dawn that Sabienn could well accept as being the beginning of what may be his last day. He stood wet after his swim taking in the whiff of leaf from the trees and looking up to the sky over the lake. Seeing all that was temporary; the peach and crimson sky reflecting off the calm water surface. And all that was permanent; the blue and green moons high in the sky and the mountains in the distance, now changing colour as the sun rose in the east among them.
In the front yard of the house stood Sabienn, Stork, Bray, Deep, Pattee and Bess, all attired in stylish burgundy cloaks of Red Pond. They viewed the two cars that were to take them north and stocked them accordingly for the journey.
“A hand please, sir,” said Shep to Sabienn.
