Levidia’s POV
Today's morning has been so slow and it was only the second period. Only 5 more months and then we would graduate. After that I will go to NYU and get ready to study abroad in Italy. That is the goal and that is the plan. All I had to do was make it through these next few months. Which shouldn't be too hard because soccer is going to start and it will make these next few months go by so much quicker. I want us to do well this season but at the same time if we do really well this season then I have to stay here longer for championships and maybe even state and as fun as that sounds I just really want to turn over a new leaf and call it good. I have nothing but family and Amaris here, and even then Amaris is coming with me. So really when you think of it what do I honestly have-
“Do you know the answer to that question Ms. Rossi?” Mrs. Copenhagen asked from the front of the classroom with an accusing face. She’s annoying and nobody likes her, why is she still here?
“I’m so sorry Mrs. C could you please repeat that I don’t think I caught what you were trying to ask.” I said with an innocent face.
“You see Ms. R if you were paying attention then you would know that I wasn’t the one to ask a question.” She answered with a proud smirk on her face. The whole class looked down to hide a smirk in their hands. This is all the more reason to just up and leave right now. Nothing to lose. Mrs. C was standing next to Ryker Winters who was currently rubbing his temples like he had a headache, he looked up at me with a bored expression, we held eye contact until he looked back up at Mrs. C and spoke with a stern and annoyed voice, “Mrs. C nevermind what I asked for, I got it. Thanks Rossi.” And with that the bell rang and he was the first one out the door.
I gathered my things and ran to him in the hall. “Winters” I called from behind him. He only looked over his shoulder before stopping at his locker. “Why did you do that?” I question him once I’m right next to him.
“I don’t know what you're talking about Rossi.” He said in a flat tone. His green eyes concentrated one which of the black binders he would need next.
“What you did.. You know-”
“No I don’t know.” He sighed as he closed his locker and started to talk away.
“Hey wait I wasn’t-”
“Do you have an actual question for me, Rossi or am I just going to have to guess what it is you're going on about?” He said annoyingly. His jaw was locked and he looked pissed off, enough for me to catch a hit that he did not want to be talked to right now. Typical. When it came to the Winters brothers he was not the social one. He was the quiet guy that did his own thing and didn’t socialize with anyone but his brothers and their group. He was the quiet popular guy that everyone knew but didn’t really know.
“Fine my bad, I didn’t know you were on your period too.” I whispered as I walked right past him into the next hall. Grumpy ass b***h can’t even be nice.

Lunch finally rolled around and mine was spent with Amaris as usual.
“Okay get this, New York right BUT New York with hot guys who have Italian accents.” Amaris rambled about Italian guys for Lord knows how long. I’m beginning to think she’s not going with me to study abroad for fashion and design anymore but literally just for the “hot guys with italian accents”.
“Mmm sounds like a dream, Ris.” I say as I eat a salad.
“Oh dude right! I mean who wouldn’t-”
“Hey females who shine brighter than the sun?” Luca Winters cuts in like he does EVERYDAY. Goodness this boy really has no other friends.
“Not as bright as your mighty fine self.” Ris flirts.
“Well, well, well, my dear Amaris, a fine guy like me couldn’t help but think that a girl like you would possibly be into me.” He flirted back. You would think their a match made in heaven but if you really looked at the chemistry of our trio we were each other's family. Luca protected us like we were his sisters, mind you we were older than him but nevertheless he protected us.
“Luca, imagine if you were Italian?” Amaris asked.
“Uh well I mean my mom is so I guess I am.”
“Shut up no way wait-” Amaris got cut off when a fight broke out from behind us. Titus was going at it with Jaden Osborne. What the hell. Cassy was being held back by a bored looking Ryker and she screamed for Titus to stop. Oh s**t. I bet fifty bucks that Titus found out that Jaden and Cassy started to hook-up after her and Titus called it quits. Poor dude. But it’s not like he hasn’t cheated on her a dozen times. This was to be expected. Titus landed a punch that earned a cracking sound in Jaden's nose. At the sound of it I cringed looking down. When I looked up, eyes landing on Ryker. Through our eye contact I was most positive you could see the look of panic and concern in my face and I am just as positive that Ryker picked up on it, letting Cassy go to help her pull Titus off Jaden. Rushing over to a bloodied Jaden I got on my knees at his side as I looked up to see Ryker giving him a small cocky smile.
“Gees Jaden, what were you thinking getting into a fight like that.” I asked him as I inspected his nose. Where were the teachers? Feeling around the bone and watching him wince I realized that it was for sure broken. “Have fun explaining that to your parents.”
Cassy came down one opposite side of his body and looked up at me. “Will he be okay?” I laughed at her question. My goodness this girl. Titus just beat the s**t out of him and she's asking if he’s going to be okay. No the f**k he is not barbie doll.
“Yeah I’m sure he’ll be fine, it’s only a broken nose and a few bruises here and there. He’ll live.” I said as nicely as I could. Getting up I saw the nurse and told her what was wrong with him. She went with it after giving him a long look and then rolled her eyes, mumbling something about calling his parents as she walked away.
“You seemed to know what to look for.” A deep brisk masculine voice came from behind me. Turning I came face to face with his chest. His scent eloped me as I stood stuck in place, he smelt like rich aftershave and honey with a hint of pine wood after a rainy day. My eyes came up to him eventually. Pure green orbs stared at me with a curious expression. He was.. pretty. Square jaw, tan skin, straight nose, and under his parted lips were pearly white straight teeth. Clearing my throat I stepped back.
“Umm yeah I’m taking medical classes, so I mean I would hope I know what to look for.” I laughed as I looked down at my shoes. Goodness I should have put more thought into my appearance today. I was wearing a light blue slightly oversized hoodie with three large butterflies on the back, black leggings, tall white Nike socks and my white air force. I should really get my shoes cleaned.
“You want to be a doctor.” He said pulling me from my thoughts.
“No. Well, I actually don't know. I know I want to do something in the medical field, but I know I also want to be able to travel with my job. So it's to be decided I guess.”
“You like to travel.”
“I would like to travel.”
“Where do you want to go?”
“Anywhere.. everywhere maybe.” I said with a soft smile as I watched his features soften into a smile of his own.
“Everywhere would be nice wouldn’t it, bella piccola farfalla.” He chuckled as he stared down at me. What did he say? Was that Italian? Didn’t Luca say their mom was Italian, maybe that was Italian. I feel like I should know this seeing as how I’m literally going to study abroad in Italy. Maybe he could give me lessons. The bell rang and broke both of us out of thought as we stepped away from each other. Ryker cleared his throat as his features hardened again and he gave me a swift nod as he walked away. Walking back to my table I gathered my things and gave a quick goodbye to Ris and Luca.
Only 3 more classes and then I’m done for the week.
