Emma's pov:
My heart aches for my dad , he is
is crying like a small kid , i let him cry because
he needs to release the suffocation he has been
going to through the past 15 years. He cried
almost thirty minutes.
He needs some one to share all his
agony so that he can ease the pain he has been
going through all these years , and iam happy
to share his pain , i can see how much he miss
mom , after some time he composed himself
and finished his coffee , mean while i also
finished mine.
" em ... iam going to tell you a very
important news , it's very serious , it is about
our Anderson corporations " i internally smiled
for nickname the he called " em" he used to call
me when iam little, i nod my head thinking what
might the importance news.
" look i know iam the reason Anderson
corporations is close to bankrupt , i didn't give
much attention to our company all these years,
on the top of that i put our company in wrong
hands and iam regretting that decision , i
shouldn't have appoint him as a General
manager " . he sighed looking into his laptop.
i Know he is talking about Katherine's
brother Kane Cox , Kane is the main reason
our company lost the glory it had , i don't think
so he knows anything about business when he
joined our company , Katherine lied about Kane
had great business knowledge , my father didn't
think twice and trusted her words gave full
control to Kane to take any decisions . Now the
result is infront of us.
" So Emma to rebuild our company's
previous status i took the decision with out
your acknowledgement . i hope you will agree
to this agreement i made , i need your help
Emma , please think about our company before
taking any decisions" he said watching me with
guilt in his eyes.
" Dad i don't understand what you are
talking about , i mean how my help will get
our company previous status, and what
decision are you talking about can you please
tell me clearly ." i ask my dad with fear in my
heart , i have a feeling that, this is not going to
be good for me .
" Em i ..... , i arranged a marriage
praposal for you . i want you to marry james
Gucci who is current CEO of Gucci corporations,
they are ready to invest in our company but their
condition is you should Marry james Gucci, so
i said yes because this is the only way our
company will grow. i hope you are with me in
this decision ." like really is he serious ,how can
he do this to me .
" Dad how can you do this to me , why
did you take this decision with out my consent,
i mean you didn't care about me all these years
but suddenly you arranged a marriage proposal
so that our company will grow , like seriously is
this a joke . " i said furiously standing from my
chair , but i immediately regretted because my
father hung his head low with shame , god what
what did I do !!!! .
" look dad iam sorry i think i over reacted
i shouldn't have talk to you like that iam sorry". i
said with a sigh ,i really have to control my
mouth , but why did he take that decision with
out me , iam the one who will get married , it
should be my decision not his .
" No em don't be sorry , iam the one
who should ask sorry not you , But trust me this
is the only choice we had, more over Gucci
family is stable in society and in business
field compared to us, you will get a good family
if you are ready to marry in the family." now
i understand what he is trying to do , he thinks
if i marry into the family my future will be secure
as well as our company like two birds with one
shot.
" And one more thing , Gucci family is
closely related to Kingston family , if we tie
knots with Gucci family we will also become
close to Kingston family , then more investors
will show interest in our company . i think in all
ways Emma please think about this ,end of the
decision is still yours . our company's future is
in your hands " . i Just nod and stand up from
my chair , i really need a fresh air.
" Dad i will think about this and tell you
my decision i just need some time to think . " he
just nods his head. with that i left his study.
I can't believe what just heard from my
dad, like seriously he wants me to marry in this
early age iam just 20 years old , i haven't done
anything in my life till now what teenagers do, i
mean never got a boyfriend never went on a
date , not even kiss anybody , i never thought
about my marriage , other than my studies i
was not interested in anything , and also afraid
iam to love someone , what if they break my
heart , because my mother already broke my
heart by leaving me alone.
But now iam going crazy , i need
some to talk about this ,and i know who it is .
none other than my best friend Lilly , Lilly and
me are best friends from kindergarten . my mom
her mother are best friends, so we become best
friends , she is not from a rich family but they
live luxurious , both her parents are doctors.
she is like a sister to me , my true
friend , she is the only friend of mine , basically
i don't trust anyone that's why I dont have
friends , i usually hang out with her only , other
than her , some times with her friends . they are
quite good.
I guess i have to go her house to
discuss about my situation. i already texted
her that iam going to her house .
