Annabel     When I finally come to, I immediately wish I had not, everything hurts so bad and my head pounds like a b*tch. Consciousness finds me slowly, and I grimace at my raw nerve endings. It is like someone took my skin, turned it inside out and poured acid on it. My neck feels stiff and wooden and when I try to move it to get a look sideways, I find I cannot.. Finally, I carefully tear my eyes open and I am immediately assaulted by blinding lights and I snap them back closed, where the f**k am I? A whiff brings the smell of sterilization and disinfectants to my nose, wiping out the half formed thought that I might be in my room, my room could never smell so horrible.     With Herculean bravery, I slide my eyes open once again, inch my careful inch until my eyes are completely open
