I shut the book once again and sighed. I moved the chair backward and stood up, pushing the chair back under the table.
As I read, my conversation with Xavier and Lena kept replaying over and over again.
I needed to see that b***h and know what the hell she wants. I walked out of the room and went towards her room to meet her.
Before I could get to room, someone called my name and I stopped.
“Valerie.” I turned around to see Jenna and she gave a disapproving nod.
I sighed and glanced at Lena’s room before abandoning the thought and going towards Jenna. I pulled her into a tight hug and remained that way for a while before breaking the hug.
“Nathan told me what happened,” Jenna said said and I nodded.
“She manipulated Xavier and he fell for it.” I lamented
