Tonight Sophie did not return to her room. She complied with Sam's wish to sleep in the medical room. Sam sat on the other bed, looking at Sophie lying down though she didn't close her eyes.
They didn't speak to each other. Sam wanted to explain everything to Sophie, but it seemed she didn't want to talk more with Sam.
This is the first time Sam feels how complicated it is when feeling and being in a relationship with someone he loves. When he's with Sarah, Sam can do things without asking permission or protecting Sarah's feelings.
