Xavier’s POV Chest heaving, I swipe the key card, step inside, and shut the door firmly on the rest of the world, cutting off the muted hum of the hotel hallway and locking the rest of the world out. I drop the card on the stand by the door, seeing Sloane reading the book I had brought. It was nothing interesting really, but I always pack it in my bag if I am ever traveling.
