THREE | ANOTHER ROXY PROBLEMS

It's been a week since that incident. I haven't seen Roxy and her friends in the entire school. What exactly is she up to?

The blaring sound of my alarm jolted me awake. I wanted to sleep in a little longer, but I'd be late for school if I did. I put on my glasses and made my bed. I grabbed my phone and went straight to the bathroom. While I shower, I listen to loud music.

I picked out a cute checkered skirt, plain shirt and a cardigan. As usual, my hair is in a beach wave style, together with my cute golden glasses. Perfect! ♡

My parents are on a business trip for a month, so I'm pretty much alone in this house. I don't know how to cook, so I'll just eat out with my bestfriends.

Precy, Liam's mother, insisted that I stay with them while my parents are away on business, but it's too much trouble to move my belongings to their guest room, so I decided to stay here alone.

Liam: What are you thinking about?

Amara: Oh My Gosh!! What are you doing here?!

Liam: Did you forget? Your parents asked me to check on you from moment to moment, and, they gave me a spare key.

Amara: What if I was naked?!

Liam: Why would you be naked on the living room?

Amara: Fair point. Let's go.

I got into his car and buckled up my seatbelt. Liam insisted on locking my door, claiming that I take too long. But I'm not complaining.

Liam: Can I sleepover tonight?

Amara: Maybe tomorrow.

Liam: You got plans?

Amara: Yeah, the girls are coming over.

Liam: Alright, can I pass by tho?

I gave him a nod. To be honest, I don't want him to show up tonight. I don't want him to see Britanny any longer.

For breakfast, Dimitri, Britanny, and I went to McDonald's. Our class starts in 30 minutes.

Britanny looks strange today; she's overly made up and her perfume is overpowering. I'm curious if she's dating anyone.

Dimitri: How was your first night alone last night?

Amara: It was fine.

Dimitri: 'bout you, Britanny? Why do you look like that? What's the occasion?

Britanny: What's wrong? Do I look bad?

Dimitri: No, no, you look nice, just wanted to know.

Britanny: Amara, Liam is also coming over tonight at your house right?

Amara: Not sure, maybe, I think so.

Britanny: Then good, I wanna look pretty when he sees me.

Dimitri and I fell silent and ate our meals quietly. Britanny is no longer the same girl we remember. She now only speaks about Liam all the time.

We went to our classes and prepared for our Physical Education class. We changed into our P.E. uniforms. I put my hair up in a high ponytail and sprayed on some cologne so I don't stink when I sweat.

Amara: I feel weird today, like something bad is gonna happen.

Dimitri: After class, you should call your parents. I hope everything will be fine.

[ Meanwhile... ]

Roxy: She has the nerves to slap me back, then fine. Let's see how she reacts when she sees the snake we put in her bag.

Diana: What if she dies?

Roxy: Then you take her to the hospital, I don't care.

Beverly: No, but Roxy, seriously, what if the snake bites her? I don't wanna be arrested.

Roxy: Don't worry girls. Nothing bad will happen, I'm just trying to scare her.

I hurriedly called my parents after our P.E. class to see if they were okay. Thankfully, they said they were fine and I didn't need to worry.

I noticed something moving as Dimitri and I were about to put our belongings in our bag. I'm not sure what it is, but I'll look into it.

Amara: AHHHHH!!!!!

Dimitri: What's wrong?

Amara: THERE'S A SNAKE IN MY BAGGG!! THERE'S A SNAKE IN MY BAG, IT'S SO CUTE!!!! I'M TAKING IT HOME!!

Dimitri: SINCE WHEN DID A SNAKE BECOME CUTE?!?! IT'S TERRIFYING!!

Amara: I'm keeping it. Whoever put this in my bag, THANK YOUU!!

I thought the snake was adorable. Those teeny-tiny eyes and that teeny-tiny tongue... It's adorable, and I believe it's a cobra.

A random professor: What's happening in this class? Why is everyone screaming?!

Dimitri: Professor, someone put a massive snake in Amara's bag.

Amara: I'm fine professor, I'm taking the snake home, it's cute.

Professor: No, you are not taking that home, I have to report this to the principal. Everyone get out this classroom!! Including you Amara, this school won't let you take that dangerous thing home and we have to investigate about this.

Amara: Alright professor...

I wanted to bring the snake home with me, but I guess I can't. Roxy, without a doubt, was the mastermind behind this... Well,... I like surprises!

Roxy: SHE LIKES SNAKES?!? YOU GUYS SAID THIS PLAN WOULD WORK!!!

Diana: Well, it did work, she screamed when she saw it.

Beverly: STUPID! SHE SCREAMED OUT OF EXCITEMENT!

Roxy: This is a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!! I hate her!!!

Professor: Unfortunately, ms. Greyson. The cctv camera was broken and wasn't able to capture the one that put that into your bag. But, the principal said he would take action and someone will have to take that snake today. And...here's the guy....

Amara: Bye teeny-tiny snake....

Dimitri: Girl, how can you call it "Teeny-tiny"? IT'S SO MASSIVE! IF I WAS THE ONE WHO SAW THAT IN MY BAG, I WOULD'VE IMMEDIATELY PASSED AWAY.

I was so disappointed that I won't be able to see the snake again. I also didn't want to bother the school, so I'll let this one slide.

Amara: It's alright professor, you don't need to investigate about this, I'm sure it's just a sick prank and I don't think they'll do this again. But, if they did, I promise you'll hear from me.

Professor: Okay then, I'll tell the principal.

Amara: Thank you professor.

Professor: ALRIGHT!! EVERYONE!! BACK TO YOUR CLASSES NOW!! Welcome ms. Greyson.

Britanny: Oh My Gosh! So, they weren't lying!! I'm glad you're both okay.

Britanny, Dimitri, and Liam are all at my house right now, and my parents are aware. Britanny is dressed in a very tight sleeveless shirt and short shorts. Liam kept staring at her, and there was nothing I could do about it. She's a Heather, and I'm just a regular girl.

Amara: Do you guys wanna eat anything? I'll get you some snacks.

Liam: I'm good, thank you.

Britanny: I'll have a bottle of water thank you!!

Dimitri: I'm coming with you.

Amara: Sure, come on..

Dimitri drew me into the kitchen, whispering everything she said so Britanny and Liam wouldn't hear.

Dimitri: I think you should tell Liam that you like him. Britanny is all over him now.

Amara: I can't...I just...I can't....

Dimitri: If you really like Liam, you have to tell him now before it's too late. You have my full support.

She gave me a genuine smile.

Dimitri was never wrong. But I lack the courage to do so, and Liam doesn't like me anyway. But, I think now is the time to give it a shot.

Amara: Liam, can we talk?

Liam: Sure.

Britanny: AMARA!!! ME AND LIAM ARE FINALLY TOGETHER!!!

Amara: You what?

Britanny: We're together now!! Why do you look upset?..

Amara: No, no, I'm happy for the both of you. I'm just shocked.

Liam: We gave it a try. But if it doesn't work then so be it.

Amara: Congratulations!!...

Liam: What did you want to tell me by the way?

Amara: Oh that,.. I uhm.. just wanted to buy ice cream..

Britanny: Sure, me and Liam will buy. You and Dimitri prepare the movies.

Amara: Alright..

Dimitri had it right. It was already too late. I have no chance now that they are together. I'm completely numb right now. I expected to burst into tears, but it appears that I have lost my soul and am left with only my body.

Dimitri: Are you okay?

Amara: Yeah I am..

Dimitri: Why did I even ask.. I'm sure there's someone better out there, Amara, don't worry I will always be here by your side. I'll help you move on.

Amara: Thank you Dimitri..

We finally chose a movie a few minutes later, and the couple arrived with the ice cream. The film was a horror film. Dimitri was the one who made the decision.

Britanny kept clinging to Liam, and here I am, unable to feel anything. I don't mind if the ghost is standing next to me right now. The guy I've had feelings for since I was a kid is now my best friend's boyfriend. I'm so glad I still have Dimitri. She is always there for me.

Dimitri was whispering to me to make sure they didn't complain.

Dimitri: Do you wanna go to the mall tomorrow?

Britanny: I'm sorry I can't come with you both, me and Liam have a date tomorrow.

Dimitri: Oh it's totally fine. We can hangout next time.

Our planned shopping trip was cancelled. We had a large number of papers to complete. Actually, it's fine; I can divert my attention elsewhere. We rescheduled our plans for next week so that we wouldn't have to worry about school.

We haven't been able to communicate with Britanny since the sleepover. She was constantly with Liam. She ignored us as if we weren't best friends, for years. Dimitri and I are somewhat incomplete, but we must deal with it.

Diana snitched on Roxy and informed the principal that Roxy was the mastermind behind the snake incident. She must have been feeling guilty. But I'm not enraged. Roxy and Beverly were kicked out, and I'm now friends with Diana, though we're not close. We're just good friends now.

Now that a week has passed, everything has changed. Liam and I are still close, but I'm trying to avoid him right now. I keep everything I say to him to a minimum. I don't think he realised I was trying to ignore him.

Today is shopping day for me and Dimitri. We ate at an eat-all-you-can restaurant for lunch and talked about a variety of topics, including the best colour of nail polish. We decided to go to a nail polish shop and get our nails done because we couldn't decide which colour was the best. I'm wearing dark green, and she's wearing pink.

We took some pictures after getting our nails done and decided to go to Strbcks, where she ordered White Chocolate and I ordered Iced White Mocha Venti, Sweet Cream Foam with Extra Caramel Drizzle (must try). We, of course, took more photos and selfies. We stayed for about 30 minutes and are now on our way to the clothing store.

Dimitri: We should do this more often.

Amara: I know right this is so fun.

Dimitri: By the way, I think I'll buy 3 shirts today. What about you?

Amara: I think I'll just buy 2, I still have a lot at home.

We took some clothes off the rack and went to the dressing room. We took mirror selfies with the clothes we selected and decided what to buy.

Britanny and Liam now go on daily dates, and Liam no longer drops me off at school because he has to pick up Britanny. Liam and I are now barely conversing. It's unfortunate, but there's nothing I can do about it. Liam's parents are on a business trip as well. He brings her to their house on occasion, and they never call to see if I'm okay. I suppose I won't be surprised if Britanny becomes pregnant.

Will Britanny be the new mean girl now that Roxy has left the picture? Is she going to be one of Amara's foes? Dimitri is the only one who is still present for Amara. Her parents are still away; will she be able to cope with her emotional roller coaster?
