I rubbed my eyes roughly as I woke up from a bad night. I didn’t even know when I’d fallen asleep. I had just been too tired. With my eyes still closed, I swung my feet to the ground, frowning when I contacted cold tiled floors. That wasn’t right. I had a dark grey rug underneath my bed, the fluff on it made me look forward to my mornings. I gave up on feeling for the rug and got up.
