So, that's probably what I need to do.
The reason why I reincarnated with memories of my past life intact is to save my family from ruination.
I finally snap out of my thoughts and look around me.
Huh, it seems that I've been deep in thought for longer than I anticipated.
Dad is still sitting beside my bed, holding my hand reverently while sniffling and sobbing anew. It looks like he lost his verbal spat with my brothers...again.
I can't help but smile at my goofy father.
My life here took a 360 turn for the better and I can't stress how much I love it here.
I should give my thanks to the Deities and tell them about how lucky I am for reincarnating in the wonderful world of Asturias. I hope one of them will be able to give me a blessing to help me on my mission.
And this is another difference Asturias has on Earth. It seems I forgot to mention this bit.
Unlike Earth, Asturias is apparently divided into two Realms. There's the Human Realm and the Deity Realm.
The belief in God here doesn't exist because...well, this is a different world and that's how they work, I guess?
Not only that but we can actually contact the Divines here! Which is why I will offer my prayers to thank them for my great fortune.
I remember I was so stubborn and bored about praying to them before I remembered my past. Well, that's about to change!
Oh, speaking of contacting the Divines, I believe Dad told me a story before. He said he used to work as the aid of one of the Divines when he was a kid.
Ha! As if I believe that.
Dad has many titles and a jokester is one of them, albeit a minor and family-only one.
Oh, and before I totally forget, did I introduce my daddy already?
Well, this is my dad.
The one who's sniffling like a little baby beside my bed and holding my hand as if I was dying. Aside from his navy blue hair and amethyst eyes, he's clearly different from what people describe him in my history books.
He's the one who's supposed to be Duke Castor Jameson von Opponia, Mighty Savior of Asturias, Precious Aid to the Legendary Lord Ellynmen, and the Grand Duke of Opponia I.
I don't see that man from the one in front of me now.
Oh wait, let's not forget his last three titles--which are very important!
He's also known as the Guardian of the Gates in Opponia II, the island where we're living right now. An island that is found West of Jagged Row, one of the Empire of Aster's territory under Dad's jurisdiction.
This place is also called the Cursed Island.
The island was deemed the Cursed Island because of the first-ever prophecy that Asturias received from The Fates.
Apparently, many, many years ago, demons suddenly began appearing all over Asturias. These monsters are stronger and bigger than the usual monsters already littering the world.
Not only that but they're also nearly invincible. Normal magic and physical attacks are useless against them. That is unless one's mana or weapon is blessed or imbued with Divine power.
The Heroes of Asturias has put a stop to it but only temporarily. They're already aware of that thanks to the prophecy they received from The Fates.
As a consequence, they had taken preparations for what was to come.
What were those, I don't know.
Anyway, after that, Asturias has experienced peace from the onslaught of those impervious demons for many years.
Until one fateful day.
The day my dad turned eighteen.
Somehow, the dormant portal suddenly erupted, like a volcano. It sent waves after waves of demons on Opponia II.
If those demons are left unchecked, even if the portal stops churning more of them, they'll breed and overpopulate the island. And if the demons have nowhere left to live, they'll most probably try to leave the island, cross the sea, and hit land.
They may find themselves on the shores of Jagged Row, Brimstone, or somewhere else. In the end, no matter where they end up, they'll be on land where people--innocent people--are living.
The chaos of the past where such demons wreak havoc, leaving death and destruction in their wake, will be repeated.
But that's where my dad's second title comes in.
My dad is one of the Two Heroes of Silver that the prophecy has foretold.
As a result, Dad and his best friend, my Uncle Karon(who I never met but Dad never fails to talk about him), are the two who fought all of the raging demons on the island all on their own.
And they succeeded flawlessly.
Opponia II became an official extension of Opponia(though, why it only became an official extension when they already had the same name, I don't know). My dad then became the Mighty Savior of Asturias and the Guardian of the Gates.
Uncle Karon, on the other hand, refused the land and title offered to him. He's now working as the advisor of the Emperor of Kyte.
Last but not the least, this title is one of my favorites. Apparently, Dad is also known as Duke Pushover-Doting Parent.
Oh, I also remember that he also has the titles of Count of Borderlands, Earl of Jagged Row, Grand Master of the Holy and Void Dual Swords, ex-Royal Grand Knight of the Empire, Duke Recluse.
Yeah, well, I notice people here in Asturias are rather fond of giving a person so many titles.
To me, though, he's simply my dad.
And enough about his achievements.
We'll just let my dad sniffle and sob about how he can't properly reprimand his children for now.
Not that I blame him that he's so powerless against my brothers.
They might be his beloved children, too but they also shared a special bond while working together to raise me themselves.
When Mom died after my giving birth to me, he left his post as the Royal Grand Knight of the Empire. He gained the title Duke Recluse while raising me in Opponia II along with my brothers.
And speaking of my brothers...
I scan my room for them. It didn't take long for me to spot them. Both are busy making themselves useful(unlike Dad).
It also seems that the three Heads of the Household(that's what I like to call Alyosha, Brendon, and Caroline, since they ARE the ones managing the Dukedom in Dad's stead) are back.
My eldest brother, Wolfsbane Nikolai von Opponia, age fifteen, is having a conversation with Brendon. It's most probably about the security of the estate again.
As if we need more security in an estate located in the middle of nowhere on the Cursed Island.
Aside from the weak-ass demons the portal is coughing up, no one else comes here from intense fear. Besides, nothing can get past the gates because of Wolfsbane and Brendon, anyway.
Heck, demons and trespassers might already be dead even before they can reach the gate.
My second older brother, Nerium Alexei von Opponia, age ten, is helping Caroline brew some herbal tea for me.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of those disgusting concoctions Nerium likes to make in order to 'improve my health'.
I swear I know that he loves me with all his heart. But sometimes I think that he actually hates me. So much so that he's making me drink all those vile-tasting things.
Oh, and before I forget, yes, my brothers are also amazing.
At such a young age, they already amassed titles for themselves.
For my eldest brother, he's also known as the Count of Brimstone and the Hellfire Sword Wielder.
And that's not all.
Even though he's only fifteen, Wolfsbane is already the Captain of the Royal Knight's Golden Order, or the Golden Order for short. This is an order of knights that directly serves Crown Prince Hanzel Ian de Asturias.
I'm not surprised that my brother became the crown prince's Captain of his knights. Wolfsbane is a gifted swordsman in the game and he never lost a battle. Not even the crown prince, his childhood friend, and BFF can defeat him.
My other brother, on the other hand, is not known for his physical capabilities like our eldest. If Wolfsbane's the brawns and knight of the family, Nerium is the brains and doctor.
Nerium is also known as the Count of Stillwater and the Miracle Potion Master.
And again, that's not all.
At the age of ten, he's already known as the Zen Scholar of the Empire. He's the genius who works as a teacher to the second prince and first princess of Aster.
As you can see, my family is very powerful, they're also very popular, and very good-looking too.
I admit that I fangirl my heart out for Wolf and Neri while I was playing the game(before I learned the awful truth that the game's a scam).
Now I suddenly remember how I kissed their pictures on my phone and stare at them before I sleep...
I cringe and goosebumps pimple my skin with embarrassment knowing they're my brothers now.
I'm their real sister now. I have memories of them when we're all young.
Maybe I CAN still appreciate them like I did before but I'm never going to go overboard to the point where I do...things like that to them in this life.
Ewww.
Anyway, if one is curious what my title is. I have one.
Both here in this life of mine and in the game, I only have one. Rafflesia von Opponia's title is merely 'The Youngest Daughter of Duke Castor'. No more, no less.
But that's going to change.
Who knows, maybe someday, I can become Rafflesia von Opponia, Savior of Duke Castor, Wolfsbane, and Nerium.
Hey, that's actually not a bad idea!
What better and more honorable title to have than become the savior of the ones you love?
I may be mere Miss 'The Youngest Daughter of the Duke' now, but I aim to change things around here.
Starting with myself.
