The run was exciting and thrilling because the pack woods were so beautiful. I came back with Gray, laughing in my big shirt as we played together. I knew he was doing this for me so that I could forget our disturbing conversation in the morning.
It still offended me deeply that my wolf would say something like that, what did she mean by I would need him soon just as much as he needs me? I doubted that the same man who slashed my right eye and served me public disgrace would want me back.
