Quentin deserved to be a Supreme Court Justice. A brilliant lawyer well-liked and respected, and he had risen to the top of his profession. He had labored long and hard for justice and equality, and could be expected to be a fair and competent judge and a staunch defender of the Constitution. Thus far the confirmation hearings had gone surprisingly smoothly with no serious objections about his credibility. It looked very promising for him. Barring any unforeseen developments he would be quickly confirmed.
