Chapter Three

Zander’s POV

When we got to the courthouse, Jade slipped into the bathroom to fix her makeup and hair.

She really didn’t even need to do that; she was beautiful just the way she was. But when she walked out of the bathroom, she was mesmerizing, breathtaking. She was absolutely gorgeous without even trying.

How did I get so lucky?

Lincoln walks over and hands me the paperwork. “ Zander, where did you find her?”

Chuckling, I didn’t. She literally ran straight into me.

To be honest, I don’t know what got into me. This was the only thing I could come up with.

Lincoln laughs. Now I just have to get her to want me like I want her.

Well, good luck to you, man.

But looking at her, I do envy you.

Judge Gilmore is in her chambers waiting for us.

She was excited that you picked her to officiate the wedding.

Give me a few minutes, and we can go

in. Is the photographer here yet?

No, Blaze will be here in a few minutes. Okay, good. Did you bring my tux by any chance?

Yes, it’s already waiting for you in the room.

I walk over to Jade and tell her to follow me. She’s fiddling with her hands, and I reach over, grabbing them lightly. She looks up at me and gives a small smile. Everything is going to be alright, Jade, just trust me, please.

She shakes her head slightly,

and I give her a soft smile. We walk into the room, and I shut the door behind us.

I put the papers on the table and tell her to look them over. While I get changed.

“ Zander, are you sure about the amount?”

I don’t need that much. Which I have to say honestly surprised me.

Most would want more.

I don’t understand why Everett was such an i***t. She’s a man’s dream. She’s beautiful, kind, and she’s definitely not a gold digger.

I walk out in my tux, and she gasps.

“You’re so handsome,” she stutters. I give her a megawatt smile, and she finally gives me a breathtaking smile back.

Did you sign already?

Are you sure about the amount?

Yes, I am.

Okay, she says quietly. She walks over and picks up the pen and signs both documents, then she turns around, handing me the pen.

Walking over, I reach down and sign both the documents. I then open the door and hand the documents to Lincoln.

Judge Gilmore officiated the wedding, and Blaze took photo after photo.

Blaze, please make sure I get copies of all the photos before you sell them to the magazines.

He laughs, “How did you know?”

Why do you think I brought you here? I want copies of all of them tonight before you sell them.”

I will have them delivered to you right away. Your wife is stunning, I must say.

Yes, I know, thank you.

You are the perfect couple, way better than that Sharron b****, I must say.

Yes, I have to agree with you.

I walk over and give my thanks to Judge Gilmore. Darling, it’s time for us to go.

All right, my love. Ms. Gilmore, it was a pleasure to meet you. I watched as she gave her a small hug and smile. Then turned around to take my hand.

I’m ready, my love. Alright, Darling. I watched as Blaze took more pictures of us leaving.

A limo was out front when we walked out. The driver opened the door for us to get in. After we got in, he closed the door behind us. For some reason, we are still holding hands.

Jade lays her head on my shoulder. Zander? Yes, thank you.

She closes her eyes and falls asleep. She is breathtaking.

Texting Lincoln, “Is everything ready? Yes, the plane is already waiting for you.”

And they know where we’re going?

Yes, yes, it’s all set.

My phone will be here in the car. Make sure you retrieve it. Lincoln, make sure to get the photos from Blaze.”

I will.

Are you sure the house will be ready when we get back?

Yes, everything will be just perfect.

Lincoln, her car is at the Walker hotel. Have it retrieved right away. I’m sure you can figure out what one.

Yes, I’m perfectly capable of figuring that out. I will talk to you in a week. Have fun. When We pull up to our plane, Jade is still sleeping. I don’t want to wake her, so when I slide out, I bring her with me.

I carefully pick her up and carry her up the steps. I sit her down and buckle her in. I set down next to her, buckling myself in. This is going to be a long flight.

Closing my eyes and falling asleep, I wake up to the flight attendant telling me we are going to land soon, and Jade is still sleeping soundly. I was just getting ready to wake her up when I see her start to move slowly, opening her eyes.

I closed mine to see what she would do. I peeked my eyes open, and she was staring straight at me. I don’t think she realized my eyes were open. But I love the way she was looking at me. I just hope I can make her fall in love with me.

Before the three years that we agreed upon, I will do everything in my power for her to see the man I am. I have to say Jade is the most beautiful woman I have ever met. And she is just as kind. I will never regret making her my wife and not Sharron.

I will make Everett and Sharron both pay for what they have done to the both of us. With Jade It’s a new beginning, and I plan on making the most of it. I will not let Sharron or Everett ruin my chance with Jade.

I will not let this chance slip by. Every day I will show her what love really is, and I will never let anyone hurt her again.

But I will make sure to make Everett’s and Sharron’s lives miserable. This is the start of their misery and my happiness.

I could look at my wife for the rest of my life and never get enough of her. She is all I have ever wanted in a woman.

I will make the most out of our time together. It’s the beginning for us and the end for Sharron and Everett; they just don’t know it yet. But they will find out soon the consequences of betraying me and my wife.

I can’t wait for them to see what’s in store for them.

Sharron wanted to cheat and deceive me now her and Everett can deal with the consequences of their actions. This should be fun. And I am looking forward to their downfall.

But for now, I have a new wife, she is priority. My focus is on our honeymoon and making sure Jade is happy.
