After everyone went to bed Xander and I left together, walking up the stairs to our separate rooms. I have sat up many nights thinking about just walking into Xander’s room and cuddle up next to him, but then that annoying little voice in my head keeps reminding me of all the reasons why that isn’t a good idea. The most obvious one is I’m not ready to be marked or mated while my life is still a mess. I don’t want to bring my troubles into Xander’s pack and put them at risk.
