He was just so kind, the Alpha’s in my old pack were terrifying. If they didn’t smack you around, rape you, or break a few bones then they’d have some one else do it while they watched. Thankfully, I was saved with my mom a week ago by Lucas Dawson, one of the Alpha leaders of my new pack.
I don’t know what caused Alpha Lucas to travel all the way to Asia towards the snow leopard tribe, but I will be forever thankful. Finishing off the rest of the delicious food, to which I wonder how he knew I was hungry in the first place. I’m still trying to get used to being able to finally eat, so this morning I was so nervous about missing the bus that I forgot to grab anything to eat. Mom’s still locked away in her room, crying her eyes out since daddy died. My old Alpha, Alpha Richard’s was trying to keep me as his s*x slave, well more like he wanted me to be his and only his. Well my daddy being a Beta tried his hardest to get me out of the throne room and home, but only made it a few feet before Alpha Richard turned into his beast snow leopard and ripped my daddy’s head off, right in front of me.
Still having nightmares, as the image of my daddy’s head flying threw the air, me screaming while Alpha Richard just laughed threw the tribe link.
“Are you ok?”
Snapping my head towards the voice, to see Ezekiel giving me a worried expression, that’s right I’m on a bus heading to school. Alpha Richard’s isn’t around to harm me anymore. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath as I held it in. I felt the softs touch to my shoulder. Letting the air out quickly, I look over to find Ezekiel holding my shoulder. His eyes searched my now open ones.
“Yeah, sorry.” I said while trying to keep my breathing under control.
His hand was so warm, gentle, and his eyes were so soft and caring. Ooh, his eyes. Swirls of blue and greens mixed together into a beautiful work of art. As his black hair dangled in front of them, making him look extremely handsome. Especially, smiling with his soft pink lips pulling towards the sides creating adorable dimples to appear. When he told me his name, I definitely already knew him as all the girls in the pack building talked about his handsomeness, how he’s sexy from head to toe. But they also say that he politely turns down any girl, and says he’s saving himself. I wonder why someone with so much power is being nice to me?
“No need to be sorry, I just hope you're ok.” He said while removing his hand from my shoulder, leaving it completely cold now that it’s gone.
“I am. Thank you.” I told him, feeling like a complete moron for even bothering him with my live tragedies.
“Why do I have the feeling you're lying to me.” He said with a c****d eye brow and a smirk. Before I can try to explain that he shouldn’t worry he says, “It’s ok, we all have something that we don’t want to share. But please know, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here.”
Wow! Does he really mean that? Or is just saying that to make me feel better? Not really knowing the full meaning behind his words I say, “Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Ho dude, are we going to Tiffany’s after school?” Rowan said.
Now Rowan was also mentioned in the pack building, but he’s a total pig when it comes to girls. I think I remember some girl saying how she caught him cheating on her with two girls at the same time! Like how gross! Tiffany is I think the popular girl in school, as I don’t truly know as this would be my first day in any school. Ezekiel slowly takes his eyes off mine and says, “Nah, Tif is too clingy. Plus you know how many times I have to remind her she’s not my girlfriend. It’s messed up.”
“Well there will be plenty of hot chicks there, you gotta come.” Rowan said while giving me a wink.
Sliding further into the seat, I lifted my backpack to try and cover my face. “Dude, knock it off. You're making her uncomfortable.” Ezekiel says before saying, “That’s not my scene and you know it, you just want me to come so more girls will show up.”
“Bingo!” Rowan says before saying, “Please for me.” He pleaded while giving a pouty lip and puppy dog eyes.
If I didn’t know him from all the stuff I heard, I would have thought he was really handsome. His brown hair that was curly around his ears, green eyes that resembled moss on the forest floor. But, he’s disgusting. Remember that, Em! I told myself while trying to see what Ezekiel would do.
“Rowan, you have to promise this is the last time.” Ezekiel said while crushing my heart, why did he have to do something he didn’t want to do anyways.
“Sweet! Can’t wait! I’m going to tell the guys that we’re going to party.” Rowan said while totally ignoring Ezekiel asking for a promise.
Shaking his head he looked over at me, smiling shyly before saying “Don’t think too bad of me for this, I’ll be the only one not drinking and most likely carrying them back.”
“Don’t sweat it dude, she can come too.” Rowan says while typing away at his phone.
Ezekiel gives me a look before saying, “You don’t have too, whatever makes you more comfortable.”
OOh boy! What do I do in this situation? Ezekiel looks like a part of him wants me to go, but the other part is telling me to not go cause he’s worried that I’ll be uncomfortable. “I’ll go.” What is wrong with me! How am I going to even go to this party thing?
“Awesome, we’ll all hitch a ride with Brad after school. Meet us around the football field.” Rowan said while smiling into his phone.
I glanced at Ezekiel to see him glancing at me with worried expressions. Just then another guy, Jackson. The last of the three musketeers, apparently he’s dating Tiffany’s best friend…ooh what’s her name..Diana! They’ve been dating since middle school, so it was a huge deal to the girls in the pack building as they swooned over such a loyal man.
“Zeke, is your hot sister Elisa coming? Brad wants to know.” Jackson said while looking down at his phone.
“Tell Brad he can be waiting for my fist in his face, my sisters are off limits.” Ezekiel said, his voice deeper than when he was speaking to me as I watched his eyes change slightly.
“Chill dude, we know that. We just need to make him know that.” Rowan said while giving Ezekiel a look.
“Good.” is all Ezekiel said before leaning his head back on the seat again, this time his eyes stayed open as he watched the front of the bus. Most likely his siblings.
Sighing, I turned and looked out to watch the trees fly by as the bus made turns and stops, before a huge building with the words Clay County Middle School came into view.
Well I guess it’s time for the little ones to get off, as the bus pulls up to the side of the school I watch as all the kids start running towards the open double doors.
