The room was completely dark, barely illuminated by the moonlight escaping through the small window. But as I heard the passive breaths of my roommates I could tell they were sleeping peacefully, that the awakening for them would be instantaneous as if they had not remained asleep for a second. As if those long hours of the night had never existed. Instead, I, if I tried hard enough, could see the time on my watch. It was barely three o'clock in the morning and I could see the hands moving ponderously as if time itself was sluggish and doing things slowly. I was not sleepy, although I felt really exhausted.
