"What do you think happened to the farmers?" Vanessa suddenly asked low enough for only me to hear.
"They must have gone to town, maybe they died... I don't know” I answered.
"The animals?”
"You know how in the movies every time there's a disaster coming they let all the livestock run free? I guess something like that.”
"Do you think that's how the president is? In the emergency room surrounded by computers? With the general yelling at him on the right to use the nuclear arsenal and the vice president on the left giving him a more peaceful option.”
The thought had never crossed my mind before. Vanessa settled back and laid her head on my shoulder.
"Sounds interesting, although I don't think there is any way to use a nuke on zombies.”
