ESCAPE

EPISODE 1: THE NIGHT SHE WAS TAKEN The night was dark, cold, and restless. Wind hissed through the trees, bending them violently. By the window sat Elara, knees pulled to her chest, her pale face bathed in moonlight. Her eyes followed the moving branches, unblinking, empty. She looked numb—like someone who had already lost the fight. The room behind her was swallowed by darkness. Footsteps approached. Slow. Heavy. The door creaked open and her father stepped in, dressed in a dark corporate suit, polished and emotionless. “Elara.” His voice was cold. She didn’t turn. He closed the distance and grabbed her arm. “No!” she screamed, twisting free and lunging for the bed. Her fingers dug into the fabric as he dragged her back. “Let go!” he snapped, pulling harder. She kicked and clawed, her cries tearing through the silence. Tears streamed down her face. “Please… Daddy, I don’t want to go!” He didn’t stop. He yanked her across the room, her nails scraping against wood as she fought to stay. Outside stood the nanny, hands trembling, eyes filled with helpless sorrow. She took one step forward, then froze. She couldn’t help her. As Elara was dragged past, their eyes met. Elara’s gaze was no longer pleading—it was dark, accusing. The nanny looked away. Elara’s screams echoed down the hallway as she was pulled into the cold night. Then—silence.
