Chapter 10: A Big Day

Finn’s POV

The rest of the day in school was uneventful and school finally came to an end, I left the school with my brothers, and oddly I was quiet, my mind was preoccupied with everything going on and our mission, I was scared of failing and disappointing my parents and the community at large.

The thought of Brielle suddenly crossed my heart and I sighed, I don’t know what to do about her either, and finding out she’s mated to Liam too is shocking.

My wolf yearns for her and wants us to embrace our mate so badly, but I can’t do that now, finding a mate or love is not something I should be considering at all. I sighed once again and decided to have a talk with my siblings.

“We need to talk,” I said and Owen raised his head from the laptop he was holding, he turned his attention to me. Liam came out of the bathroom, wiping the moisture from his head.

“You want to talk to us?” Liam asked, dropping the towel he was holding.

“Yes. It’s about Brielle” I replied.

“What about her?” Owen asked.

“Liam said she is her mate, I found out we are mates too. I was on the school rooftop smoking when she tried to kill herself” I said, and I saw their eyes widen with surprise.

“What? Why will she do that?” Liam asked, looking shocked.

“Well she’s been bullied in school for reasons I don’t know” I replied, and they were silent for a while

“Thank goodness you were there to help her, I can’t imagine what would have happened,” Owen said and I shrugged

“Why did you do that? Asking the principal to ask her to tutor us?” I asked and I saw Liam lick his lips.

“Well, I found out she’s my mate, not knowing she is yours too. I didn’t tell you about that because I was not sure what I was going to do about it, that wasn’t the reason we came here, but at the same time, I feel she could be of help to us” Liam said and everyone was silent.

“Are you sure about that? I don’t think I can trust anyone yet, so I am going to try to learn about her myself and know if she is worth it” Owen said and we shrugged.

Owen is the one among us who doesn’t trust so easily, but when he does, he can lay down his life to protect the people he loves. Liam’s phone suddenly started ringing, and it jolted us from our reverie.

“It’s the council,” he said, shoving his phone at our faces and we sighed

“Pick the call,” I said and Liam picked the call.

“Liam! Finn! Owen! I am sure you are all gathered together” the chief council said and we sighed.

“Yes, we are together” Liam replied

“I wanted to be certain you are doing the right thing we asked you to do and not distracted by the new environment you find yourself in?” the chief council asked

“Yes we are on it, just give us time,” Liam said and ended the call. We had no time to start explaining all we had gone through, and where we stopped at the moment

“I think it will be perfect if we all befriend Brielle, she is the only person we could trust a bit to lead us to what we want,” I said and Owen furrowed his brows confused

“How can you trust her? Because you saved her from dying on the rooftop?” Owen asked and I chuckled.

“She is our mate, well, except you for now, we are not certain since we are triplets,”I said and licked my lips “She might be human, but that doesn’t mean she won’t feel the mate bond, she will eventually and if we could get close to her, and she trust us, she can eventually lead us to the hunter’s daughter,” I said and Owen rolled his eyes

“I doubt that will work,” he said shrugging

“It will, we definitely don’t know what to do now and the sensor given to us is not doing anything, we can’t sense supernatural beings nor can we sense the use of magic, so it’s going to be difficult to do all these ourselves. We need a human we can at least trust and I think Brielle fits into the picture” Liam said, and I smiled, agreeing with him.

“You guys are sick! You are like this because you found out she is your mate, like I said earlier, I will find out myself whether she is trustworthy or not” Owen said and walked out of the room.

“I will go and cook,” I said and Liam nodded

I went to the kitchen and started preparing dinner for us. It’s been almost a week since we started living here, and I already miss home, but we need to do this for our people.

The hunters are hunting our clan, and we can’t allow them to continue if not, our people will go into extinction. We have been on the low, the werewolf clans had tried their best not to get affected by anyone, but the hunters are trying by all means to hunt us and make us fight back to paint the picture they already have about us.

Our mission here is to find the daughter of the chief hunter, we had information she schools here in Greenville high school, but unfortunately, we haven’t been able to meet her, she is the only weakness the chief hunter has, and she is the only one we can use to tame his barbaric behaviors.

I round up cooking and left the kitchen, I grabbed my cigarette and lighter, went to the house rooftop, and sat down while the breeze blow on me.

I lit the cigar I was holding. I blow out some smoke, feeling relaxed while I watch the stars.

Finally, we have a head start on what we are going to do and tomorrow is going to be a big day and a new day for us to set our plans on track and save the Silent Howl Pack.
