Chapter 25: The Awakening

1021 Words

Brielle’s POV My heart started beating wildly against my ribcage, and I wasn’t sure of what to do. I wanted to run inside the Torres brothers' building and ask for their help, but I might be too late and something might happen to Laura. I quickly searched for where I heard her voice from, and I heard a snarl, which made my heart skip a beat immediately. I knew that snarl so well; it definitely doesn’t belong to a human. I stepped into the scene, and I was shocked. A pair of hands were wrapped around Laura’s neck. An insanely pale man with red eyes and elongated fangs stared back at me, and I knew I needed to save Laura. Laura was shocked to see me, and she started shaking her head fervently. I know she didn't want me there, but I couldn’t leave her to herself in the middle of nowhere.
