I opened my eyes quickly, and the sun shone through them, illuminating the room. I got out of bed and drew the curtain down, which I neglected to do the night before because I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't realize I'd fallen asleep.
I walked to the toilet and completed my morning routine before returning to my room. My phone suddenly beeped and I pulled it from the top of my cupboard, I met a message from the group chat and instantly opened it.
