‘Remember what I said, Beau. Dominique will have both our heads if you screw this up.’
‘I won’t you have my word.’
‘I’ll pick you up at three-thirty okay.’
‘Okay.’
He slid out of the car closed the door walking away as. Lucien pulled away, god he hoped the kid don’t f**k this up this was their only chance to bring her father down.
He looked around at the school and it was so much bigger than his. Now all he had to do was find the main office.
Bang!
‘Shit.’
‘Sorry it was my fault, I was taking in the school.’
‘New here hugh?’
‘Yeah.’
‘Amile.’ She said holding her hand out.
‘Beau DeRose.’ He said, taking her hand and kissing it.
She giggled blushing.
‘Sorry I…’
‘It’s fine, just a little unexpected.’
‘Sorry, it’s kinda a tradition in our country.’
‘Where are you from
‘Orange, France.’
‘Wow, so you’re the new exchange student everyone’s talking about?’
‘I guess I am.’
‘Come on I’ll show you where the office is, and I’ll show you around.’
‘That’ll be great.’
She smiled. ‘This way.’
He followed her to the main office. ‘Argh Miss. Cromwell, I hope you haven’t been in trouble, again.’
‘Who moi? never!’ She grinned.
‘So what brings you here?’
‘Oh, this is Beau DeRose the new exchange student.’
‘Oh, nice to meet you,, Beau. I’ll let the head know you’re here.’
He smiled politely.
‘So you’re always in trouble hugh?’ He smiled.
She flapped her hands. ‘Me? never! ‘ She grinned trying not to laugh.
‘Mr. Cartel will see you now Beau.’
‘Thanks.’
He walked away.
Amile sat down to wait for him to finish. He came out of the office with the headmaster. ‘Maybe you can show our new student around Miss. Cromwell.’
‘It would be an honour, sir.’
‘None of your sass Miss. Cromwell, we don’t want you on another warning do we?’
‘I guess we don’t. Chow.’
‘Chow.’ He grinned, shaking his head.
They walked away. ‘Can I take a look at your timetable?’
‘Sure.’ He said passing her his timetable.
She studied it and smiled. ‘Cool we have lessons together the only ones we don’t have together with this PE cause you’ll be with the guys and you have business and I.T. So I’ll just show you the rooms you’ll be in. I won’t be far away so we’ll meet up after them.’
‘So you know French and Italian?’
‘I do, I learn both. I also know a little German my olds seem to think it will come in handy when I leave school.’
He nodded. ‘So are you planning on travelling once you leave here?’
‘I haven’t thought about it, my parent's recon I should travel before I settle into my studies.’
‘And what do you want?’
‘I’m not sure. I've got time to think.’
He nodded and they entered their first lesson together.
They had a few lessons together and she introduced him to her friends who seemed star-struck by him and his personality. She’d shown him practically where all of the rooms were and they were having lunch together then it was P.E. Andrew scowled at them.
‘What’s wrong dude?’
‘Who is he?’
Colton looked up. ‘Oh the new guy, don’t know much about him why?’
‘I want to know everything. And I want to know why he’s so far up Amile’s ass it’s unreal.’
‘Still got it bad hugh?’
‘She’s mine.’
‘She kicked you to the curb Andy deal with it.’
‘I was until him.’
‘You’re not jealous of some exchange student are you?’
He grunted. ‘Hugh I don’t make me laugh.’
He watched them as they left the dining hall, he’d sure attracted a lot of the girls they were hanging around him like a leech.
After registration, they all had Physical Ed. Amile and her friends bid him good day and told him they’d meet up with him afterwards.
He nodded and left them. ‘God he's so hot Amy.’
‘I’d tap it.’
‘You’d tap anything Drew.’
They all laughed.
‘Has he met Andrew and the others yet?’
She scowled. ‘No, and he won’t.’
‘He will, they all have this lesson together.’
Shit, she had forgotten Andrew was still possessive over her, though they’d split before the holidays that was the one reason she’s ended it.
Andrew looked at him with disgust on his face through the lesson and decided to corner him after the lesson had finally finished whilst he was waiting for Amile. ‘Stay away from her!’
He looked at him confused. ‘Who?’
‘Don’t play dumb with me. Amile.’
‘I will if she wants me to.’
‘You’ll stay away from her freak.’
‘Like I said. I will if she asks me to. You’re going to regret ever laying your eyes on her.’
He laughed. ‘You think I’m scared of you? Then you’re sadly mistaken.’
He lunged forward his fists bailed and Beau dodged them; he didn’t need this s**t on his first day. He continued to throw punches and Beau dodged them, this guy had no idea whom he was dealing with, but he wasn’t going to show him his true self he had to keep it hidden or it would all go t**s up.
He walked away.
‘I’m not finished with you yet.’
‘Don’t waste your breath.’
He grabbed Beau. ‘I said I’m not finished yet.’
‘You are, I suggest you let go. I'm already late for the lesson.’
His fist shot forward it clipped Beau's chin, and his eyes glowed with anger. If he hit this guy he’d be in a coma.
He stood his ground. ‘Is that the best you’ve got?’ He taunted.
He threw a couple more punches as the crowd gathered. Beau stood unfazed by his poor and pathetic attempts though he was bleeding he couldn’t feel it. He slowly got grabbed and pulled away, her eyes were cold and angry. She looked directly at the guy in front of Beau. ‘Andrew, leave him the hell alone.’
‘You having his d**k now!’
‘You’re a jerk you know that!’ She said pulling Beau to his feet. ‘Just cause he’s new doesn’t give you the right to pound his head in.’
‘He’s after my girl.’
‘I’m not your girl, not anymore. Come on Beau I’ll clean you up.’
He nodded and she pulled him away. ‘You should’ve knocked that prick out.’
‘I don’t want to be expelled on my first day.’
‘Don’t worry you won’t, none of them gives a s**t around here. The more time you spend here you’ll realise that.’
They ended the ladies. ‘I shouldn’t be in here.’
‘Who cares.’ Was her only reply, diving into her bag. She pulled everything she needed to clean his face up. ‘This may hurt so stay still.’
He nodded.
She cleaned his injuries to his face he didn’t even flinch. ‘I take it you’re used to cleaning up after fights?’
‘I got accompanied to it yes, I have no feeling, I have a high pain barrier.’
She nodded. ‘Just don’t hold back next time f**k him up, he deserves it.’
‘So, who is he to you? He seems content that you’re his girl.’
‘I was. I ended it with an ego chauvinist pig. He is too possessive and controlling. He didn't like me having male friends as you can see by your face.’
He chuckled.
‘I kicked him to the curb over the Summer. He got too much, I couldn’t even talk to my friends or his, which were mine by the way until he went el loopy.’
‘So, we’re friends now?’
‘Yeah, I guess we are. You seem a decent guy and all my friends like you, so yeah we’re friends.’ She smiled.
He returned her smile.
‘There all done.’
‘Thanks, Amile.’
‘Call me Amy all my friends do.’
‘I will, thanks, Amy.’
She smiled. ‘Come on we’re already late for the lesson.’
‘Sure. Lead the way.’
She smiled and he followed her out of the girls' bathroom.
She waved goodbye to him as she left the school he slid into the back of the car. ‘You’re late.’
‘Sorry, Lucien I had detention.’
‘On the first day?’
‘I and Amile were late for class.’
‘I told you not to get into any trouble.’
‘It wasn’t our fault, it was this guy named Andrew Andres. He doesn’t like my face or the fact I was talking to Amile, so he hit me.’
‘Should’ve hit him back.’
‘Amile said that too, but I’d rather not get thrown or on my first day.’
‘I guess not, but don’t hesitate next time.’
‘I won’t, but I don't want a guy in a coma.’
‘You were taught restraint Beau, so use it.’
‘I will.’
‘So how did it go with Amile?’
‘Quite well actually. We have most of our lessons together. She showed me around and introduced me to her friends. I think there’s more to her than meets the eye.’
‘Really how?’
‘It seems that she’s a troublemaker, she’s been in the office a lot.’
‘Good we need to get those files, and I’ll see who this Andrew Andres is just in case he’s a threat to us.’
Beau nodded.
