He fell silent. Shay wasn’t sure what to say, but he didn’t want Galenn to stop talking just yet. He liked his voice, the way it sounded when he was excited and certain. “A shame so much was lost.” Galenn sighed. “Yes,” he said. He finished up and extended the seam-opener back to Shay. “But that’s how things are, isn’t it?
