In 1884, Repton School set up the Repton Boxing Club. It is the oldest boxing club in the world and it has produced some very good – and some notorious – pugilists. Judas had to smile. Bullseye may have been a magical dog but he had a wicked sense of humour too. Repton Under was where he wanted to meet Judas and receive his Royal Pardon so that is where Judas was heading. He got off the Tube at Shoreditch and tried to avoid being run over by crazy young things on electric unicycles and very expensive fixies painted to look very cheap. The number of coffee shops (mobile and stationary) had diminished of late, and so had the number of bike shops and pop-up shops – thankfully.
