Our Story: Dream-like Night
"What happened to you? Why are you drunk?" I asked. I let her in and lead her to our couch. Why did she do it? "Are you okay? Let me get you water." I said and went to our kitchen. When I came back, she is now lying in our couch. I lift her head and put the glass of water in her mouth. She emptied the glass. "Where have you been?" No response. "Janey, where have you been? Who were with you?" Again, no response. "Jane, you have to answer me. Why are you like this?" She finally opened her eyes and sit. I can see so much pain in her eyes. "What's wrong?" I asked her again. She just cried. She didn't say anything. I just let her cry her heart out. I sit beside her and remained silent. We stayed there for half an hour. She fell asleep.
