Miss, you're awake?

1014 Words
A frail young lady lay on the floor unconsciously and beside her sat a sobbing female. Her face had turned ashen from sobbing with her eyes swollen and red. The unconscious female on the floor suddenly shifted uncomfortably. Seeing the movement, the sobbing female immediately brightened up. Holding the slightly cold arm of the female, she called out, "Miss?" The unconscious female continued to stir in her sleep with a slight frown appearing on her face. She seemed to be engulfed by a nightmare. She heard a faint feeble voice calling her but she couldn't open her eyes, they were too heavy to open. The faint voice persisted as it called her out, "Miss, please wake up." Heeding the sobs, she opened her eyes only to come face to face with a dim light from a candle. She blankly stared at the pair of black eyes before her. They were swollen and sad but amidst the emotions, they shone with bliss and gratefulness. "Miss, you're awake?" She said happily. She immediately pulled her in for a tight embrace. The female felt that her bones would crumble but she didn't reject the hug: However, the female wore a confused look as she surveyed the surroundings with her eyes. "Wasn't I dead?" She thought inwardly. Suddenly, she felt a pile of unknown memories gush in her head. As they gushed into her mind, she felt a slight ache at the back of her cranium for she hissed in pain. At the end of the session, she finally realised that she was reincarnated in a body of a frail female named Seyan Murin. Seyan Murin was a female vampire who was poisoned by one of her love rivals at a royal banquet. Because she was too naive she didn't notice the poison in the drink she had until she was locked in the dungeon with her maid to reflect on her mistakes. Seyan Murin, in love with a cold vampire prince named Zenith Asmodeus drunkenly confessed her love to him. This earned her his wrath thus the other silent love rivals had to eliminate her. Realising such a silly state the owner of the body as she sighed, "How foolish can one be? Anyway, as long as I'm in this body I won't let this chance slip away. Darling Seyan, since I'm here I'll let your soul rest at peace." The maid beside her still wore an anxious look as she looked at her lady who looked to be in a daze. Her gaze turned watery as she lamented inwardly, "Has little miss forgotten me? How could she forget me among all people when I was by her side all the time?" Finally jolting back to reality she glanced at the little maid beside her and patted her arm gently, "Don't worry I'm fine, Reyo." "Little miss remembered me, that's so good," she hugged Cavannah tightly. "Aww, she looks so cute I'm dying. She's not like my hateful stepsister. I wonder how Ash and the rest would be doing. Probably they are doing just fine. Humph! anyway I'll just focus on fitting in this strange place," murmured Cavannah, patting the skinny maid in her embrace. Amidst the hug, she murmured, "I'll protect you this time, Reyo ok? But this Reyo name doesn't suit you, how about I call you baby doll?" "Whatever makes the miss happy as long you don't forget me," chirruped the maid, making her cuter. So cute that Cavannah couldn't resist pinching her large cheeks. "Miss there's only a cup left for you, if it isn't enough for you I can give you some of my blood," said the maid eagerly, tilting her bare neck sideways. "What do you mean by giving me your blood? I'm not some blood-sucking animal," shrugged Cavannah casually oblivious to the situation at hand. When her eyes landed on the cup the maid held and as she glanced at its content, her eyes turned red. She felt a strange feeling, a dangerous craving for blood like she was very hungry. A pair of sharp fangs formed in her mouth, and she felt their glaze on her tongue. Extending the cup towards her, the maid urged, "Drink some before you get too hungry." Cavannah couldn't accept the fact that the owner of the body was a bloodsucking vampire. For goodness' sake, how could she drink blood? The mere scent of it made her stomach churn but the stupid urge to drink blood couldn't grant her wish. She mustered up all her courage and restrained her desire to drink it. However her fangs were already out, how could she stay hungry? "Get that cup of blood away from me," she commanded with a trembling body. The maid quickly placed the cup away from her. Just as she thought she would be fine, a sharp scent of fresh blood wafted into her nose. She then recalled the books she read in her previous life about vampires. They had a sharp sense of smell, how could she ignore it? The scent got stronger and stronger. The scent looked to be coming from the little maid before her. This strange feeling made her lose control as she felt her brain spinning and the only word that rang repeatedly in her mind was blood. No, she rebelled against her mind, she can't accept such a deed to control her. The maid frowned in worry as she glanced at her lady trying to resist taking the blood. It startled her at first but she thought maybe because of her illness made her resist blood. She extended closer to the miss as if urging her to suck her blood. She caressed the miss and said, " It's ok miss, you can drink my blood. Don't worry I can hold it." The scent got stronger as the maid got closer to her. This gave her a hard time resisting the urge of sucking her blood. Cavannah used the last of her sanity to push the maid away and then she lost consciousness as she dropped to the floor.
