I made it back to the room to find she wasn't in the bed and panic set in. Did I scare her away I thought? Then I heard the faint humming coming from the bathroom. As I got closer I recognized that tune. That tune was what the queen always hummed when she visited us at the school. It was so soft and calming, it showed the true nature of a Luna. I stood there listening to her until she stopped. "SAMUEL IS THAT YOU?" she asked through the door. She must have smelt me. Yes it's me take your time I will wait I said so she wouldn't rush. I heard the splash of water indicating she was getting out and I went to sit on the sofa to wait for her. A couple minutes later she came out in her nightgown. She blushed when she saw me, not the confident woman she was last night. I patted the seat beside me and she came and sat down. She seen the bite make on my neck and gasped. "DID I DO THAT!" She practically screamed standing up. Yes but it's ok Lila I promise. "HOW IS THAT OK? I HURT YOU! HOW ARE YOU EVEN HERE RIGHT NOW! YOU SHOULD HAVE RAN WHEN YOU HAD THE CHANCE! She stood there for what felt like hours and I could tell she was thinking looking from my neck to me and back again. She slowly sat back down but a little further away this time I thought that was reasonable. She was one of the moon goddesses direct decedent's. The violet eyes made sense now I had seen them before she was a royal but how. Then it dawned on me, she was 18. The war happened when she was a baby and the only baby born around that time was…princess moon. She was born only days before the war broke out. My father was her protector. This new information had me more confused than ever. If she was the princess she should be dead. How did Lane get a hold of her? Lila I have to make a phone call. Is that ok? Ezmay pov

I hated travelling like this but when you're a vampire you gotta do what ya gotta do. I could have driven but it would have taken a lot longer to get there, only driving at night. So I chose to be shipped. I left the day after Samuel called me I had to get every thing in order first. I was now laned waiting for my carrier to pick me up and bring me to Samuel's house. My phone rang and I answered it. Samuel? Is everything ok? I just landed. I should be there soon. I said hoping he didn't have bad news. YA EVERYTHINGS OK BUT WE HAVE A LOT TO TALK ABOUT. He said. And I got comfortable for the conversation ahead or at least as comfy as I could in a 6 by 2 foot box. He filled me in on Lila and what had happened. I told him I had to make some calls but would be there soon with some answers and hung up. I called around to find someone who could break the spell I assumed was on Lila. I found a mage named Isabella, she was a black witch. Black witches came from ancient bloodlines. These mages could cast and break spells on any living thing. However they could only use their magic when owned and for their master. She happened to be owned by Maximus knightshade. A ruthless vampire that was nothing but trouble. I needed that woman and he owed me a favour. He was either going to come through with that favour or I was going to feed him to the sun might do that anyway. It was a win-win for me.

Lila pov

When Anna came in she looked shy, something I wasn't used to."IM SORRY LILA I COULDN'T TELL YOU, SAMUEL WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE COMFORTABLE BEFORE WE DROPPED THIS BOM IN YOUR LAP." Samuel pov

It was noon and I had finished the calls I had to make. I headed down to the kitchen feeling hungry. I'm going to make a nice lunch for Lila and i. Only to be interrupted by the door bell. I went to the door to find a man dressed in a post uniform. HELLO SIR, ARE YOU MR. SAMUEL TIGAROUSE? he asked. Yes that's me I stated. OK CAN YOU SIGN HERE PLEASE. I HAVE A LARGE CRATE FOR YOU FROM A MISS. EZMAY KNIGHTCHILD. He said, handing me a clipboard. I signed it and he brought it in. I told him to put it in the basement and he did. I thanked him with a tip and he left. I walked down to the basement and started to unpri the crate so Ezmay could get out. I got one side undone and she kicked it open. UGH! YOU WERE TAKING TO LONG. She said with fake irritation. She smiled at me and I gave her a hug. Do you need me to get one of the voluntears to come, I asked. She nodded and I sent a message to Angela. Angela was one of the humans that lived in our pack. She was an addict and when I found her she was dieing. I had Anna save her by removing the liquid from her blood stream. She wasn't supposed to remember but she did. She found us and bagged to be let in. When we got our first vampire in the pack she offered to give blood and that gave me the idea of the volunteer. We had a dozen humans in the pack for one reason or another. Some mates and some people we had saved. We asked them if they would volunteer, some said yes and some said no but it was a choice they had to make. We had a blood bank in the house incase of emergencies and we had volunteers who would have an IV put in and it would drain into a glass. Angela came in and I asked how she was and she replied good. She talked about how she was taking a leave from volunteering because her husband and her were going to try to have a baby. Her husband was a human as well, he had a mate here a long time ago but when she left one day to go visit a friend a hunter got her and she didn't make it. It was a sad time for all of us but especially for matt. I'm happy for him and Angie I said. How is Matt? I asked trying to distract her while I put in the iv. HE'S GOOD ACTUALLY. She said flinching from the prick of the needle. We continued our conversations while the glass filled. Ezmay came out of the bedroom she had been changing in and said hello to Angie. Every time ezmay came she chose Angie she said her blood was sweet like her. After I cleaned Angie up, Ezmay hugged her and Angie said she would be back to talk later after Ezmay settled in. Ezmay thanked her again and said she would have to wait till tomorrow night to see her again. She had a lot of things to do and not very much time to do them. Angie left and Ezmay told me her plan. The first step was to reintroduce Lila and Ezmay.

Ezmay's pov

I finished my drink and rinsed my glass feeling less sluggish. Samuel said he was going up to get Lila and bring her down so we didn't waste any of our time after dark fell. He was a good kid, always thinking of others. I decided to call Max hoping he was in a good mood and to my delight he was. "WELL HELLO GORGEOUS." He said seductively. Hello Maximus, how are you? He replied with a good and asked how I was. Oh that's good dear I'm well actually just a little lonely, I lied. I was wondering if I could come by tonight for old time sake? I asked, making sure the seduction in my voice was clear. "OH YES OF COURSE YOU CAN EZMAY YOUR ALWAYS WELCOME IN MY HOUSE AND EVEN MORE WELCOME IN MY BED." He seduced. I rolled my eyes and thanked him for being so generous in the sweetest voice I could muster. I said I had to go but I would see him later and hung up the phone just as Sam knocked. Come in, I said putting my phone away. He walked in with a petite woman in tow. She was so small compared to Samuel I could almost not see her behind him. She pulled out a chair and sat and I began from the beginning.
