The Last Star

It isn't over.

I wasn't about to lose this opportunity, so I replied.

If The Camsels aren't humans then what are they?

I was pushing myself to call her Bethany but I'll call her Phoenix for now. Phoenix replies.

I sensed something when I was with them. They felt, imaginary, possibly from another galaxy or shapeshifters but there is one thing I am sure of.

She takes a pause then continues to say.

I feel like Kienel isn't a part of them. He always gives off a vibe, like he's held captive by someone who is respected and he can't seem to push himself to get help.

I ask her.

Why Kienel? Spells that can trap someone have been lost for generations.

She looks like she found the answer.

What if they aren't from this time? What if they found a way to travel time? That isn't impossible! Maybe they're from hundreds of years ago! Time travel has been easy since we found a way to pierce through time.

We had originally discovered it through an ancient artifact which wasn't acknowledged. They didn't say what artifact it was, some say it was hidden somewhere unpredictable and it can't be seen with the naked eye. It was an artifact so powerful. It shocked and shaped history to the point people gained power just from standing beside or near it.

Last it was seen 60 years ago by a 23 year old girl. Her name is Anastasia and people from our species have visited her countless time but never got an answer, instead they discovered she was mute and never talked to anyone. That was including her caretaker, her own daughter, and even her mother, whom everyone thought was the only person she would talk to. They were wrong. She is here, on Earth, she left the moon because she felt like everyone wanted her to talk. Some even planned to kidnap her and torture her until she speaks. Some has made it a joke, saying she would never talk even if the world was ending.

Her caretaker claimed Anastasia said something but her caretaker is Anastasia's bestfriend. They're the same age, 83 years old. The caretaker's name is Gloria and Gloria and Anastasia were the best of friends and couldn't be separated.

I have visited Anastasia and Gloria before and gathered one piece of information. Anastasia's last words were. ' One would rise from the ashes and the other is time itself. Both would then change what people believe and is the key to changing society and all species. The Phoenix and Time, once they assemble, side by side, the universe itself will adjust to them, death and aging does not apply to them. May hope bring us light and may fate bring them together. '

After that she collapsed, woke up a month later and that was when she wouldn't or couldn't talk. That was the question, can she talk but chooses not to or does she really not have the ability to speak freely.

That's what we have to achieve today, get some information out of Anastasia or else we don't have anything to go off. She's located near here. She actually attended Blithens High as soon as she came here on Earth.

Let's go tomorrow, the Camsels are sure to be suspicious when you're not in their sight. 

Well, I'll collect more evidence while you're with them. Gather some information and start a conversation with Kienel to know more about him while you're at it. I heard Verixana has some weird things going on so better look into that also just to be sure.

That was a long conversation which I had not participated in. Bethany had this all planned clearly, I'm a little nervous though. It can be a lot of work just to start a conversation, especially with Kiene-

Hey Selene, you have anything to do this afternoon? I can walk you home if you want.

Kienel said.

That was easy, I agreed of course. It would be  missed opportunity if I didn't. Why is he being social though? I mean, we haven't really talked much before. He's a shy type, and well, me, I just wanted to be secretive and not be too open like I usually am. Those meds the doctor gave me are really helping me, my PTSD hasn't been triggered in a while so, that's a plus. Maybe, it's the different atmosphere here on Earth and the different doctors and medicine? 

Either way, it seems to be working better compared to the medicine back at home.

I had to dress, of course, so why not complete my other mission? I'll get help from Verixana and while I'm there, start a conversation. Smart, right?

Verixana is probably in the girl's locker room. Training or whatever girly stuff she's doing. Either way, I just need to act normal and approach her.

It's gonna be fine, she's not gonna be rude or anything, right?

I open the door,  she's doing yoga, she immediately grunts and says.

UGH! I said put my food in the box I put in front of the door moron!

I tell her.

Verixana, hey, it's me, Selene.

She sighs then faces me.

Hey, boo! What do you need help with me you little hoe. HUH, are you rebelling? 'cause if you really are, then you need a makeover.

I reply.

No, Kienel invited me for something and I need a dress.

She seems disappointed and confused.

Oh, well I have a dress here, perfect for that occation. Also, here's a list of things Kienel likes including food and his favorite artists and type of music, songs and his hairstyles on girls and his favorite clothes and shops, he usually likes urban outfitters and other thrift shops in the area. Oh, I also included his favorite toys, and his favorite bag and his whole diary in there, if you can't read the whole diary then some of the conflicts were, his turtle died, his cat and dog died, his hamster died and recently his snake died as well. And obviously, he's an animal lover. Goodluck! Now get the hell out of here.
