I thought about the people who knew me and the things happening.
Wait… could it be my assistant? I asked myself.
I couldn't believe it. If I didn't trust anyone, at least I believed my assistant would never sell me out. We had been through thick and thin together.
I picked up my phone and called him.
"Hello, boss," he answered.
"There’s no time for greetings. Get to the mansion this minute!" I roared.
I was already losing patience. I didn’t know what Baal would do to her, and I had vowed to protect her at all costs.
Eli hurried to the house, arriving in less than an hour, even though the distance from the club to the mansion was exceptionally far.
