JENNIFER'S POV I cried for my life. I wasn’t sure I would make it out alive. The bus came to a halt, and I was dragged out. My eyes widened as I took in my surroundings—an isolated valley, desolate and lifeless. The same man who had slapped me earlier grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, pulling me roughly as he made his way through the valley. His grip was so tight I could barely breathe. I gasped for air, struggling against his hold, but he showed no signs of letting go. "Please… can you let go of my collar? I can’t breathe," I begged, my voice weak. "I’m not letting you go.
