JENNIFER'S POV "That can't be true," I told myself. I didn’t want to fall into the illusion that Kael loved me or that I loved him, too. I kept thinking about different things until I dozed off. But not for long. Screams from the other room jolted me awake. This was why I hated hospitals. People came here to be saved, but people also died here.
