We wait a week, wait for Mystics to see the posters, wait to open the hideout to them. In the meantime, life is back to what it was before meeting Iris. I'm going to school, going to my classes, staying home, not lying to my parents about my whereabouts. Just like it was. I hope it won't be that way for long. Change is on its way, and it will strike the ground with an unforgettable force, a force that cannot be erased. No one will be able to touch it, not even the Council, even if they try. In my bedroom, I sit on my bed, my legs crossed like a pretzel on the comforter. My homework is spread out in front of me. A science textbook, my notebook, class notes. Soon, I won't have to do this anymore. I'll be graduating in a few months with no set collegiate destination. I'll get to do what
