Chapter 9 : Awkward Meal

I walked over to the full body mirror with a hairbrush I had in my suitcase and brushed my mid-back length hair. I left it wavy and as I finished messing with it the bathroom door opened once again. Sebastian came out in a pair of blue, gray, and black striped swim shorts and he was shirtless but he had a gray tank top clutched in his hands. “Like what you see?” he joked and I playfully glared at him. “You wish,” I responded with a giggle. I grabbed a pair of black sandals and put them on my feet while Sebastian got on a pair of flip flops. We headed to Bistro Molokini for lunch, since it was already afternoon. We were being seated when I spotted Grayson and Bridget and had to suppress a groan. I was having a nice time with it being just Sebastian and I. Grayson saw us of course and quickly steered Bridget over to us. “Ela! Fancy seeing you here,” he said with a smile. “Not too much of a surprise, it is rather close to the resort,” Sebastian responded. “Mind if we join you?” Gray asked, ignoring Bash’s response with his hands on Bridget’s shoulders almost like he was trapping her here. I didn’t even hear myself tell them that we didn’t mind, but I figure I must have since they sat down across from us. “Got any plans for the day?” Gray asked while we were ordering. “Yeah, we have a pretty busy day, actually. We’re going to go to the beach and do some swimming, snorkeling, and surfing. Stuff like that, but we'll see how the day unfolds. We already wildly overslept, to be fair,” Sebastian said. “I thought you hated the idea of snorkeling?” Grayson responded, looking at me. “I’ve come around to the idea of it, although it still freaks me out a little bit. But I know this one will be there to protect me. I know he won’t let me drown,” I said, lightly elbowing Sebastian in the stomach. “Oof, babe,” he laughed, like I had hit him harder than I did. “Please, I barely even touched you,” I giggled. “Uh-hu, tell that to my ribs!” he responded with a chuckle. “You’re hopeless, you know that?” I laughed. Everything around Sebastian was so easy, so effortless. He made me laugh and I found myself wondering if it was just his acting or if maybe we clicked on some level. Lunch passed by with jokes and a rather quiet Bridget observing every move Sebastian and I made. Soon we both parted ways and Sebastian and I headed to the nearest beach.
