Valarie POV I watched the sunrise from my window. The city slowly taking on a warm glow of hazy amber before the first rays passed the horizon and the sun slowly lifted. My alarm clock gave a shrill call over the hum and my eyes darted into focus. I watched the flashing display dance on and off. The alarm’s piercing alert settled into a rhythmic pattern as I felt my eyes once more lose focus. I got from there and went into the bathroom. I took off my clothes and stood under the shower and thought, This is my life; there's no use in asking what if. No one could ever give me the answers.
