Chapter 14:The Apology.

With a heavy heart, Alex released Lily and Luca from his dark spell, watching as they collapsed into each other's arms, tears streaming down their faces. He had hurt them, betrayed them, but he could not bear to see them suffer any longer.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice filled with regret. "I never meant for things to go this far. I only wanted to protect you, to keep you safe. But I see now that I was wrong. Love should never be tainted by darkness."

And with that, Alex turned and walked away, leaving Lily and Luca to pick up the pieces of their shattered relationship. He knew that he could never undo the pain he had caused them, but he hoped that someday, they would find it in their hearts to forgive him.

As he disappeared into the night, Alex vowed to never again let his anger and jealousy consume him. He had learned the hard way that love should always be pure and true, free from the shadows of darkness that threatened to tear it apart.

And as he walked alone through the empty streets, a sense of peace washed over him. He may have lost Lily and Luca, but he had found something far more valuable – the knowledge that true love could never be tainted by hate. And that was a lesson worth learning, no matter the cost.
