Her innocence and His coldness

-3: His condition

After his announcement, time seems to be paused. His words forced Sara to move her head upward to look at the face of the announcer.

At last, their face met. Jacob was expecting this kind of reaction from Sara. He knows Sara can do anything for someone. He wanted marry her. But he was bounded with his father's promise. His father told him to make Anas's daughter his slave before his death.. Jacob didn't have the courage to take Sara as his slave. So he decided to give this proposal. Becoming mistress can be worst for her than becoming slave though Jacob can't bear to watch her treated like everyone treated him.

Their eyes were fixed with each other for a couple of seconds. Sara's eye were teary and red. They were full of distress and sadness. Her throat has become too dry to say anything.

No strength, No hope , No power. Sara felt weakest at that moment. She couldn't believe her own eyes . So many things happened in such a short time that her mind couldn't process it completely. Never had she thought to see her brother in this state , her kingdom being invaded, her people's death recklessly. Moreover she doesn't have any idea about her father also.

She let out a big sigh.

During these moments, Sara's mom lost her conscious. She never ever considered about this time when she has to sacrifice one of her child for the other one. Alric was her everything whereas she loved Sara dearly. She couldn't bear the pain anymore and became unconscious.

Sara didn't look back. She understood that this was the period she has to let her self go . After all this is a matter of so many people's live including her family.

She doesn't know about her father's whereabout at least she is watching her brother and other. Now she has to protect them from anything. Their only hope was Sara now.

Sara slowly stood up and was about to say something when a maid called out herself.

Maid: No.I am ready to die. But please release our princess.

Sara was shocked and turned around to see almost all the maid rose up .

Maids: Yes We can do anything for our princess. Even give up our life.

They all held their hands showing their bond and acceptance of this decision. Sara's eyes indicated them to sit whereas they weren't ready to hear her out. Their eyes unmoved from the king.

Jacob: Woh Woh Woh.. What happened to you all? You didn't even made a sound for your prince. And now you are willing to give up your life for your princess. Does she deserve it?

None replied . They only stared at him with their teary eyes.

Jacob pretended to be unaware of the fact that everyone loved Sara more then Alric. As a princess, Sara never showed any kind of tantrums. She was generous and humble. She is the only royal who gets immense respect and love from the people of the kingdom.

He rolled his eyeballs and smirked.

Jacob: Ok then. Guards....

As soon as he called out for guards, a lot of soldier entered the room.

Jacob: Kill them all....

He pointed to the maids. No sooner had the soldiers approached toward than Sara stood up. She took a deep breath before uttering.

Sara: Ok . I am ready to be your mistress.

Her voice was unsteady while saying this. Due to her dry throat, her sound was low and soft.

Maids: No no Princess.You don't have to that.

The maids cried out.

Sara: I am not your princess anymore. Now I am like one of you. Just a normal human.

She turned herself to them and forced a smile.

Sara: You always have been like my family. You did so many things for me. I couldn't give anything in return. Today it's my turn to give you something.

And don't worry , I'll be alright. As long as you guys are fine, I'll be excellent. At least it's better than death. Please don't protest for my sake. I'll be happy when I'll be around you guys.

All the maids broke down and sobbed.

Jacob wanted to hug her right that moment. Sara was too kind to be a mistress. She deserves to be Queen.

Alas! His promise held him back. He could only clinch his fist and closed his eyes.

He began to pacify himself saying ' They are our enemies.' ' Sara is my enemy's daughter' ' She deserves it'.

His heart vented the opposite. It wasn't ready to accept his decision. It was still forcing Jacob to claim Sara as his wife. Even if she is Anas's daughter, she is not like him. She is different.

She deserves nothing like this.

Jacob murmured

" Just shut up heart."

His murmur was adequate for Sara to hear. She gave him a puzzled look.

Jacob: I mean Shut up you all. Enough of your drama. ( His voice cracked. )

It was clear that he said a lie. Sara didn't have any time to figure out his situation.

Sara: Yup. Let's get it straight. I accept your condition. In return , you'll release them. Right?

( Heavy breaths and nervous eyes)

Jacob: Why not? So do anyone have something to say? I don't want more scenes.

He looked around the room and nodded as there was no response. The maids were bounded by Sara's request.

Suddenly Stacy rised her hand and stood up .

Jacob: What do you have to say?

(Furrowed his brows)

Sara: Stacy what? ( She rotated her head back to question Stacy )

Stacy: Sara you did enough for us. I always misunderstood you. So don't do this. I can't take anymore. Look your brother. (She pointed at the body on the ground) he also wouldn't let you do this. Then how could I?

Your highness we'll do whatever you ask. Just let Sara go. ( Appealing eyes falled on Jacob)

Jacob began to laugh.

Jacob: Oh really? You know what I shouldn't have given you all this chance. It's better to kill you instead of this drama. No King allows this kind of behavior. (He became mad) Guards take them away and finish them.

Sara turned her head swiftly and cried out in grief. She shook her hands to stop them.

Sara : No no. Don't listen to them. I am the one you need and I am ready. So let's go. And Stacy it's better for one to sacrifice than so many. My brother is alive that's all matters to me right now. (Sara didn't look back. Stacy remained silent. )

Sara: What I have to do now? (Eyes on Jacob)

Jacob:(smirked) Follow me. (Sara went behind him.)

As soon as they left, the guards locked the room. None could came out. Sara doesn't have any clue where Jacob was taking her. She could only chase him from behind quietly.

All of a sudden his steps paused but Sara couldn't observe his foots so her head bumped on his back.

She immediately backed up her steps. Jacob smiled which was unnoticed by Sara.

Jacob opened the door and Sunrays fall on Sara. She realized that they were in their palace's balcony.
