Morning found the mountain hushed. The storm had vanished, leaving only stillness and a thin shimmer of frost that glowed gold in the first light. The wind no longer howled; it breathed. Every ridge we passed seemed to exhale, as though the mountain itself had been holding its breath for centuries and could finally let it go. We walked in silence. Each step down the slope sent little cascades of snow sliding away, glittering before they melted into mist. The Moon hung pale in the daylight sky, whole again but veined with a faint silver scar-her reminder of what had been mended, and what never truly heals.
