Tulsi didn’t say anything else. Even if someone tried to draw her into a conversation, she kept her mouth shut. Nothing she could say would make anything or anyone better. Since her realization, Rowdy had dominated her thoughts. Imprisoned and in pain, the man had no control over what happened to him or why it was happening. Wreck’s best friend had no hand in the events that led him to where he was, yet he was suffering anyway.
Wreck told her his friend would know how the situation would play out, even if they never saw each other again. Tulsi kicked herself for not questioning what he meant.
